Entre royal watchers quando falamos "na época mais maravilhosa do ano", estamos, obviamente, a referir-nos a Dezembro e não é pelo Natal (embora, esta festividade seja um bónus). Dizemos isso porque é quando decorre a Cerimónia de Entrega dos Prémios Nobel em Oslo e Estocolmo. E embora o nosso foco seja no brilho das jóias e na beleza dos vestidos, esta cerimónia mostra-nos ano após ano, bem mais do que isso.
Among royal watchers when we refer to "the most wonderful time of the year", we are obviously referring to December and it is not because of Christmas (although this holiday is a bonus). We say this because it is when the Nobel Prize Ceremony takes place in Oslo and Stockholm. And although our focus is on the brilliance of the jewels and the beauty of the dresses, this ceremony shows us year after year, much more than that.

Como é hábito a cerimónia decorreu na Câmara Municipal de Oslo e contou com a presença do Rei Harald, da Rainha Sonja, e do casal da Coroa Haakon e Mette-Marit. A presença da Princesa da Coroa foi apenas confirmada durante a manhã. Recorde-se que Mette-Marit foi diagnosticada com fibrose pulmonar crónica, e que toda a sua agenda oficial será revista com pouca antecedência de acordo com o seu estado de saúde.
As usual the ceremony took place in the Oslo City Town Hall and was attended by King Harald, Queen Sonja of, and the Crown Prince Couple, Haakon and Mette-Marit. Remember that Mette-Marit has been diagnosed with chronic pulmonary fibrosis, and that her entire official agenda will be reviewed shortly according to her state of health.

A família real ocupa a fila da frente durante a cerimónia que presta homenagem a pessoas ou organizações, cujo trabalho contribui para a manutenção da Paz a nível global. Ao contrário do que se passa na Suécia, onde os restantes Prémios Nobel são entregues, o código de vestuário é diurno.
The royal family stands in the front row during a ceremony honoring people or organizations whose work contributes to the maintenance of peace on a global level. Contrary to what happens in Sweden, where the remaining Nobel Prizes are delivered, the dress code is daytime.

A Rainha Sonja trouxe um toque de festividade a um look sóbrio. Jaqueta em veludo burgundy ⇃, toque de brilho em aplicações no chapéu ⇃ e a elegância intemporal da pérolas presentes no colar e pulseira com a adição de um broche ⇃. Um clássico de Sonja para esta ocasião. A Princesa da Coroa Mette-Marit optou por um casaco bicolor que completou com um chapéu pillbox bege. Foi uma agradável surpresa ver que a nossa Princesa das Neves deixou em casa as suas fitas de cabelo que têm sido uma imagem de marca para eventos mais formais diurnos.
Queen Sonja brought a touch of festivity to a sober look. Burgundy velvet jacket ⇃, glitter touch in hat applications ⇃ and the timeless elegance of the pearls present in the necklace and bracelet with the addition of a brooch ⇃. A classic by Sonja for this occasion. Crown Princess Mette-Marit opted for a two-tone coatdress that she completed with a beige pillbox hat. It was a pleasant surprise to see that our Snow Princess left home her hair bands that have been a trademark for more formal daytime events.

Durante a homenagem aos premiados foi notória a comoção de vários presentes, principalmente no que toca à história de Nadia Murad, uma jovem iraquiana pertencente à minoria Yazidi, cuja comunidade foi atacada pelo estado islâmico em 2014 e que foi mantida, juntamente com várias outras jovens mulheres e crianças, como escrava sexual, por se recusar converter à visão do Islão dos seus atacantes. Após 3 meses de tortura e abusos, Nadia conseguiu fugir e ganhou coragem para partilhar com o mundo a sua experiência. Desde 2016 Nadia colabora com as Nações Unidas como a primeira Embaixadora da Boa-Vontade para a Dignidade dos Sobreviventes de Tráfico Humano.
During the tribute to the winners, several presents were quite emotional, especially when it was told the story of Nadia Murad, a young Iraqi belonging to the Yazidi minority, whose community was attacked by the Islamic state in 2014 and was maintained, along with several other young women and children, as a sexual slave, for refusing to convert to the vision of Islam of her attackers. After 3 months of torture and abuse, Nadia managed to escape and gained the courage to share her experience with the world. Since 2016 Nadia has collaborated with the United Nations as the first Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking.

Apropriadas e elegantes, não acham? Fico contente que a nossa MM tenha estado presente. Este é um daqueles eventos em que a História acontece à nossa frente, e eu sinto que é algo que a futura Rainha da Noruega aprecia bastante.

Este ano, o Comité Nobel decidiu atribuir o mais Prémio Nobel da Paz ao Dr. Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad "pelos seus esforços para acabar com o uso da violência sexual como arma de guerra e conflito armado. Ambos os laureados deram uma contribuição crucial para concentrar a atenção e combater esses crimes de guerra. Denis Mukwege é um ajudante que dedicou sua vida a defender essas vítimas. Nadia Murad é a testemunha que conta sobre os abusos perpetrados contra ela e os outros. Both laureates have made a crucial contribution to focusing attention on, and combating, such war crimes. Denis Mukwege is the helper who has devoted his life to defending these victims. O evento tem lugar no Concert Hall de Estocolmo, seguido de um Banquete no Blue Hall da Câmara de Estocolmo e contou com a presença de vários membros da família real. Durante a cerimónia, no palco, o Rei Carl Gustaf e a Rainha Silvia juntamente com a Princesa da Coroa Victoria e o marido o Príncipe Daniel. Este ano a Princesa Madeleine da Suécia foi a grande ausente.
The event takes place at the Concert Hall in Stockholm, followed by a Banquet in the Blue Hall of the Stockholm City Hall and was attended by several mambers of the royal family. During the ceremony, on stage, the King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia along with Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel. This year Princess Madeleine of Sweden was the great absent.

Victoria, Victoria...À primeira vista detestei. À segunda vista, não me pareceu muito mau, mas já vimos muito melhor. A Princesa da Coroa Sueca usou o vestido anteriormente usado pela sua mãe na cerimónia dos Nobel em 1995. E embora eu adore uma boa e simbólica reciclagem, quando falamos dos anos 90, há vestidos que foram feitos para ficarem nessa década. Por outro lado, estamos próximos do Natal e talvez Victoria quisesse parecer um presente embrulhado...
Victoria, Victoria ... At first glance I hated it. At second sight, it did not seem so bad ... but ... we've seen much better. The Swedish Crown Princess wore the same dress her mother wore at the Nobel Prize in 1995. And while I adore a good symbolic recycling, when we talk about the '90s, there are dresses that were made to stay back there where they were first used. On the other hand, we are close to Christmas and maybe Victoria wanted to look like a wrapped present...
Vicky usou a Tiara Connaught e eu reforço o sentimento que sempre tive com esta tiara. Não é fácil de usar. Não é para toda a gente. Não gosto particularmente da forma como Victoria a usa...mas, desta vez, acho que até gostei. Ou talvez seja o meu desejo ardente de salvar alguma coisa deste look.

Mas a grande desilusão veio mesmo de Sofia. O vestido tinha tudo para ser fantástico, mas de alguma forma que eu não sei explicar, simplesmente não resultou. Acho que Sofia perdeu bastante peso, e alguma coisa não estava bem. A gargantilha de pérolas também não resultou porque lhe fez um pescoço demasiado longo que não resultou com aquele decote largo redondo e colidiu com as mangas em balão, já de si complexas.
But the great disappointment came from Sofia. The dress had everything to be fantastic, but somehow I can not explain, it simply did not work out. I think Sofia lost a lot of weight, and something was not right. The pearl choker also did not work because it lengthened her neck too much and didn't work in that round neckline and collided with the already complex balloon sleeves.
Sofia usou a sua tiara na versão pérolas e diamantes. O penteado estava bonito, mas tudo se perdeu com a escolha do colar e na quantidade de informação que este vestido, aparentemente simples, tinha.
Sofia wore her tiara in pearls and diamonds. The hairstyle was beautiful, but all was lost with the choice of necklace and in the amount of information that this, apparently simple dress, had.
A irmã do Rei, a Princesa Christina optou por um vestido fuscia com um casaco comprido em tons laranjas e púrpura. Um look ousado que completou com a Six Button Tiara.

Este ano a Academia Sueca decidiu que não iria entregar o Nobel da Literatura. Em causa está um escândalo sexual que envolve o marido de um membro da academia, a poeta Katarina Frostenson.
Em 75 anos é a primeira vez que o prémio não será atribuído devido a um escândalo, no entanto em 2019 haverá dois vencedores. A medida foi anunciada após uma reunião da academia, que serviu para discutir as consequências do escândalo. “A decisão tem em vista a actual diminuição da Academia e a reduzida confiança pública na Academia”, referiu em comunicado a Academia Sueca. A decisão foi apoiada pela Fundação Nobel.
This year the Swedish Academy decided not deliver the Nobel of Literature. At stake is a sexual scandal involving the husband of a member of the Academy, the poet Katarina Frostenson.
In 75 years is the first time the prize will not be awarded due to a scandal, however in 2019 there will be two winners. The measure was announced after a meeting of the academy, which served to discuss the consequences of the scandal. "The decision is in view of the current decline of the Academy and the reduced public confidence in the Academy," the Swedish Academy said in a statement . The decision was supported by the Nobel Foundation.
