Antes do casamento real sueco a 13 de Junho de 2015, eu fazia parte do lote de pessoas que apostavam que a noiva do Príncipe Carl Philip iria usar uma tiara nova no dia do seu casamento. E no fim, eu estava certa.

Sofia usou uma tiara em estilo Art-Déco onde se destacam motivos em forma de folha de palmetto em diamantes que incluem no topo esmeraldas em forma de pêra.

Segundo um comunicado da Casa Real sueca na altura, trata-se de uma prenda do Rei Carl Gustaf e da Rainha Sílvia para a sua nora. Infelizmente não sabemos se se trata de uma peça especialmente criada para a nova Princesa, ou qual a sua origem.

Sabemos, isso sim, que se trata da única tiara de esmeraldas da casa real sueca, e que à partida não será vista noutra Princesa Sueca, pois ao que tudo indica trata-se de uma propriedade pessoal e não parte das jóias da Fundação da Família real.
We do know, it is the single emeralds tiara of the Swedish royal house, and the piece will not be seen in another Swedish Princess, because it seems it is a personal property and not part of the Family Foundation jewelry.
E talvez por esse motivo tenha sido a escolha de Sofia para todos os eventos de tiara em que já participou.

Pessoalmente, não gosto de uma tiara de esmeraldas (ou qualquer outra pedra colorida) para uma tiara de noiva. O seu tamanho e design também não são dos meus favoritos, mas ainda assim fiquei muito contente por Sofia ter esta peça muito especial para si.
I personally do not like a tiara of emeralds (or any other colored stone) for a bridal tiara. Its size and design aren't my favorite neither, but still I was very pleased Sofia has this very special piece for herself.

No mês seguinte, durante a Entrega dos Prémios Nobel, Sofia surge com outra versão da Tiara: as esmeraldas foram substituídas por pérolas e assim, do nada, esta tornou-se a minha versão favorita desta tiara...

...até ao dia seguinte, em que no Jantar oferecido pelo Rei aos Laureados com os Prémios Nobel, Sofia surgiu maravilhosa com as esmeraldas a coroarem novamente a sua tiara, usada na sua forma mais aberta. Um exemplo claro que a flexibilidade das tiaras é uma coisa fantástica.
... until the next day, at the King's Dinner with the Nobel Prize Laureates, Sofia came marvelously with the emeralds crowning her tiara once again, worn in its most open form. A clear example that the flexibility of the tiaras is a fantastic thing.
