Post Semanal: Noticias Maravilhosas no final de 2020 / Weekly Post: Wonderful News at the end of 2020

Olá a todos e sejam muito bem-vindos a mais um post semanal. Hoje seria o dia em que vos traria uma análise dos Prémios Nobel que teriam decorrido ontem, mas que foram cancelados devido à Pandemia. A eterna sonhadora em mim, ainda teve algumas esperanças de vermos a família real sueca em todo o seu esplendor, com direito a tiaras e vestidos longos no caso das meninas, numa espécie de Nobel's caseiros, só para nos alegrar o dia. ISSO não aconteceu, mas, e antes de avançarmos, façam o favor de ir ao post da semana passada e ler o primeiro parágrafo. Ide, ide. Eu espero.

Hello everyone and welcome to another weekly post. Today would be the day when I would bring you an analysis of the Nobels Bling, that would have happened yesterday, but which were canceled due to the Pandemic. The eternal dreamer in me, still had some hopes of seeing the Swedish royal family in all its splendor, in full gala with tiaras and dreamy gowns for our ladies, in a kind of homemade Nobel Prize Ceremony, just to brighten the day. THAT didn't happen, but before we go any further, please go to last week's post and read the first paragraph. Go, go. I'll wait.

ALERTA BEBÉ!!! A Casa Real Sueca anunciou hoje que o Príncipe Carl Philip e a Princesa Sofia esperam o seu terceiro filho. No comunicado que acompanha uma nova linda fotografia oficial do casal, pode ler-se:

BABY NEWS!!! The Swedish Royal House announced today that Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are expecting their third child. In the statement accompanying a new beautiful official photo of the couple, you can read:

"Estamos felizes e excitados, e mal podemos esperar para dar as boas-vindas ao nosso terceiro filho - um irmão ou irmã para o Príncipe Alexander e para o Príncipe Gabriel, e um novo membro da nossa família."

A Princesa Sofia está a sentir-se bem e o nascimento está previsto para finais de Março ou início de Abril de 2021.

"We are happy and excited, and are looking forward to welcoming our third child – a sibling for Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel, and a new addition to our family"

Princess Sofia is feeling well, and the birth is expected to take place at the end of March or the beginning of April 2021.

A julgar pelo comunicado a Princesa já está a meio da gravidez. Calculo que as últimas semanas devem ter sido muito assustadoras para o casal, e principalmente para Sofia. Carl Philip e Sofia testaram positivo para a COVID-19 e experienciaram sintomas moderados em consequência da infecção. Tal situação já é um pouco assustadora, a juntar a isso uma gravidez, que já estaria no final do primeiro trimestre, não deve ser fácil. Admiro muito todas as mulheres que engravidaram e pariram em plena pandemia. Eu própria ando a pensar muito no segundo filho, mas acho que ainda não tenho tal nível de coragem.

Judging by the statement, the Princess is already in mid-pregnancy. I guess the last few weeks must have been very scary for the couple, and especially for Sofia. Carl Philip and Sofia tested positive for COVID-19 and experienced moderate symptoms as a result of the infection. Such a situation is already a little scary, adding to that a pregnancy, which would already be at the end of the first trimester, should not be easy. I really admire all the women who got pregnant and gave birth in the middle of a pandemic. I myself have been thinking a lot about a second child, but I don't think I have that level of courage yet.

Sofia está na linha da frente no combate à Covid -19, o que poderá ter contribuído para o seu contágio. Em Abril a Princesa começou como voluntária no hospital Sophiahemmet, do qual é Presidente Honorária. A Princesa completou um curso de formação básica de enfermagem e cuidados de saúde e está, desde então envolvida, não só no cuidado directo aos pacientes, como também ajuda nas rotinas e tarefas básicas não médicas como limpeza e desinfeção de materiais. Um contributo super importante numa altura tão desafiante para todos os hospitais por todo o mundo.

Sofia is at the forefront in the fight against Covid -19, which may have contributed to her contagion. In April the Princess started volunteering at the Sophiahemmet hospital, of which she is Honorary Chair. The Princess completed a basic training course in nursing and health care and has, since then, been involved not only in direct care for patients, but also helps with basic non-medical routines and tasks such as cleaning and disinfecting materials. A super important contribution at such a challenging time for all hospitals around the world.

Carl Philip e Sofia são pais de Alexander, nascido em 2016, e Gabriel nascido em 2017. Vai ser curioso saber se esta criança irá receber um ducado à semelhança dos seus irmãos e primos, uma vez que é o primeiro bebé a nascer após o Rei ter limitado o uso do tratamento de Sua Alteza Real aos seus filhos e cônjuges e aos filhos da Princesa da Coroa. No entanto, todas as crianças mantiveram os títulos que receberam à nascença, mas não foi especificado o que aconteceria caso aparecesse outro bebé. Com ou sem Ducado, obviamente que todos queremos que a próxima criança nasça com saúde, mas se for uma menina, e a avaliar pela originalidade dos nomes suecos, fica a sugestão de qualquer nome que signifique  esperança ou luz. Porque foi isso mesmo que este anúncio nos trouxe. Esperança e Luz.

Carl Philip and Sofia are parents of Alexander, born in 2016, and Gabriel born in 2017. It will be curious to know if this child will receive a duchy like his brothers and cousins, since he or she is the first baby to be born after the King has limited the use of Hi/Her Royal Highness's treatment to his children and spouses and the Crown Princess's children. Nota: Esta gravidez não foi a única a ser anunciada esta semana. Zara Tindall, filha da Princesa Anne do Reino Unido, também espera o seu terceiro filho para 2021. Zara é casada com Mike Tindall desde 2011. O casal tem duas filhas: Mia, nascida em 2014 e Lena, nascida em 2018.  Zara sofreu dois abortos espontâneos, antes do nascimento da sua filha mais nova, sendo que uma das vezes a gravidez chegou a ser oficialmente anunciada em 2016. A Rainha e o Duque de Edimburgo ganharão em 2021 mais dois bisnetos, uma vez que a Princesa Eugenie também espera o seu primeiro filho. Um ano em grande para a família real britânica que também celebrará em 2021 o 100 º aniversário do Duque de Edimburgo.

Note: This pregnancy was not the only one to be announced this week. Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne of the United Kingdom, also expects her third child for 2021. Zara has been married to Mike Tindall since 2011. The couple has two daughters: Mia, born in 2014 and Lena, born in 2018. Zara suffered two miscarriages, before the birth of their youngest daughter. One miscarriage happened after the pregnancy was officially announced in 2016. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will win two more great-grandchildren in 2021, as Princess Eugenie is also expecting her first child. A great year for the British royal family who will also celebrate the Duke of Edinburgh's 100th anniversary in 2021.
