Entronização no Japão : Os convidados Reais / Japanese Enthronement: Royal Guests

Depois de um primeiro post mais sério e introspectivo, vamos falar do motivo pelo qual vocês TAAANTO pediram este post, certo? Os looks dos convidados reais. A verdade é que já estávamos a ressacar por um evento que reunisse vários membros da realeza em modo gala. O Império do Japão ouviu as nossas preces e foram vários os convidados - embora pudessem ter sido mais -  que se deslocaram a Tóquio para apoiar (assim gosto de pensar!) Naruhito e Masako nesta nova fase das suas vidas. 

After a more serious and introspective first post, let's talk about the true reason you guys asked me so much for this post, right? The looks of the royal guests. The truth is that we were already craving for an event that brought together several royals in gala mode. The Empire of Japan heard our prayers and several guests - although they could have been more - came to Tokyo to support (so I like to think!) Naruhito and Masako in this new phase of their lives.

Antes de começarmos umas pequenas notas: Correndo o risco de parecer discriminatória vou falar apenas dos países que tiveram representação feminina (vocês entendem a razão!), com um apontamento no fim sobre os convidados reais que marcaram presença sozinhos (pobres coitados!). Também me irei limitar às monarquias mais faladas aqui no T&T porque não me atrevo a entrar nos reinos (?) das Arábias ou da Ásia, por falta de conhecimento das suas caras reais.

Before we start a few notes: At the risk of sounding discriminatory I will speak only of countries that had female representation (you understand the reason!), with a note at the end about the royal guests who attended alone (poor poor guys!). I will also confine myself to our regular royals on T&T because I dare not enter the kingdoms of Arabia or Asia, for lack of knowledge of their royal faces.

Os eventos relacionados com a Entronização decorreram de 22-23 de Outubro, sendo que nem todos os convidados compareceram a todos os eventos:

Entronization-related events took place from 22-23 October, and not all guests attended all events:

22 de Outubro /October 22: 

- Cerimónia de Entronização no Palácio Imperial em Tóquio ( vestido longo e chapéu /traje tradicional para senhoras e white tie/traje tradicional para os senhores).

- Entronization Ceremony at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo (long dress and hat / traditional costume for ladies and white tie / traditional costume for the gentleman).

- Banquete oferecido pelo Imperador e Imperatriz no Palácio Real em Tóquio (vestido longo e tiara/ traje tradicional para senhoras e white tie/traje tradicional  para os senhores).

- Banquet hosted by the Emperor and Empress at the Royal Palace in Tokyo (long dress and tiara / traditional costume for ladies and white tie / traditional costume for gentlemen).

23 de Outubro /October 23

- Chá oferecido pelo Imperador e Imperatriz no Palácio Imperial (vestido de dia/traje tradicional  para as senhoras e fato/traje tradicional  para os senhores). Não encontro fotos que possa usar aqui.

- Tea Party hosted by the Emperor and Empress at the Imperial Palace (day dress /traditional costume for the ladies  and suit/ traditional costume for gentleman). Im not able to find pictures I can use on the blog.

- Banquete oferecido pelos Primeiro-Ministro e Esposa no Hotel New Otani em Tóquio ( vestido de cocktail/traje tradicional  para as senhoras e fato/traje tradicional  para os senhores).

- Banquet hosted by the Prime Minister and his Wife at the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo (cocktail dress / traditional costume for ladies and suit / traditional costume for gentlemen).

Bélgica / Belgium

Mathilde foi das minhas favoritas na Cerimónia de Entronização: usou uma cor que lhe fica super bem e o vestido tem um corte que não tem como dar errado. O chapéu pillbox foi uma excelente escolha para um look sóbrio, elegante e muito feminino. Tanto Philippe como Mathilde estão a usar Ordens japonesas, o Colar da Ordem do Crisântemo e a Ordem da Coroa Preciosa, respectivamente.

Mathilde was one of my favorites at the Enthronement Ceremony: she wore a color that looks great on her and the dress has a cut that can't go wrong. The pillbox hat was a great choice for a sober, elegant and very feminine look. Both Philippe and Mathilde are using Japanese Orders, the Collar of the Order of Chrysanthemum and the Order of the Precious Crown, respectively.

Para o Banquete, a escolha de Mathilde recaiu sobre um vestido dourado com detalhes em renda. Acredito que ao vivo a coisa fosse mais bonita. Nas fotos, deixou muito a desejar, mas ainda assim o dourado é sempre uma boa aposta para Mathilde que usou a base da Tiara das Nove Províncias.

For the Banquet, Mathilde's choice was a gold dress with lace details. I believe the dress was more beautiful live. In the photos, not so much, but still the gold is always a good bet for Mathilde who used the base of the Nine Provinces Tiara.

Philippe e Mathilde não ficaram para o dia seguinte porque tinham a festa de 18 anos de Elisabeth para preparar. :)

Philippe and Mathilde did not stay for the next day because they had Elisabeth's 18th birthday party to prepare. :)

Butão / Bhutan

Que bom que é ver o Rei e Rainha do Butão. Primeiro porque são um casal lindo e depois porque trazem sempre muita cor a qualquer evento. Os meus conhecimentos sobre os trajes do Butão são bastante fracos e então não sei dizer se existe algum simbolismo ou significado importante subentendidos.  Para a cerimónia o casal foi a perfeita sintonia em tons de amarelo, laranja e terra-cota.
Glad to see the King and Queen of Bhutan. First because they are a beautiful couple and then because they always bring a lot of color to any event. My knowledge of Bhutan national costumes is rather poor, so I can't tell if there is any important symbolism or meaning implied. For the ceremony the couple was the perfect tune in shades of yellow, orange and terra cotta.

No Banquete o casal real do reino mais feliz do mundo optou mais uma vez pela sintonia das cores, desta vez em púrpura, burgundy e azul-celeste. Jetsun Pema usou ainda uma pequena tiara (desconheço se é artesanal ou uma peça de joalharia, mas voto na primeira opção).
At the Banquet, the royal couple from the happiest kingdom in the world have once again opted for color matching, this time in purple, burgundy and sky blue. Jetsun Pema also wore a small tiara (I don't know if it's handmade or a piece of jewelery, but I vote for the first option).

O bonito casal também compareceu ao banquete oferecido no dia seguinte pelo primeiro-ministro japonês. E mais uma vez deslumbraram na sua diferença.
The handsome couple also attended the banquet hosted by the Japanese Prime Minister the following day. And once again they dazzled in their different style.

Dinamarca / Denmark

Como dizer isto? Olhem, só tenho pena realmente de Mary e Mathilde terem ido muito parecidas em estilo, mas quando alguém, neste caso Mary, combina o seu chapéu e acessórios com os rubis que lhe adornavam o pescoço e orelhas, essa pessoa leva o prémio para casa, certo? Frederik está a usar o Grande Cordão da Ordem do Crisântemo e Mary está a usar a Ordem do Elefante.
How to say this? Look, I just felt sorry that Mary and Mathilde were very similar in style, but when someone, in this case Mary, combines her hat and accessories with the rubies that adorned her neck and ears, that person takes the prize home, right? Frederik is wearing the Great Cordon of the Order of Chrysanthemum and Mary is wearing the Order of the Elephant

Outra vez uma capa? Sim, outra vez. E quando essa capa parece trazer consigo todas as estrelas do céu , é favor repetir esta capa outra, outra, outra e todas as vezes que forem necessárias até me fartar - o que é provável que nunca aconteça. Mary usou a sua tiara-colar de rubis e diamantes. Ao que parece o vestido rosa é o mesmo (sem o corpete de renda) que Mary usou no banquete nas vésperas da Entronização Holandesa em 2013. Mary gosta destas pequenas subtilezas.
Again a cape? Yes, again. And when this cape seems to carry with it all the stars of the sky, please repeat this cape again, again, and again, until I can't take it anymore - which is likely never to happen. Mary wore her ruby-diamond necklace tiara. Apparently the light pink dress is the same (without the lace bodice) that Mary wore at the banquet on the eve of Dutch Entronization in 2013. Mary likes these little subtleties.

No dia seguinte Mary usou um vestido branco e dourado para o banquete oferecido pelo Primeiro-Ministro Japonês. Elegante e com cores bem orientais. Perfeita, como sempre!!
The next day Mary wore a white and gold dress for the banquet offered by the Japanese Prime Minister. Elegant and with very oriental colors. Perfect as always!!

Espanha /Spain

Fico tão contente quando Letizia surge nestes eventos da realeza mundial. Ela traz sempre algo diferente. Mas isso nem sempre é uma coisa boa. Ora bem, eu gostei muito do vestido pela diferença face ao panorama geral. Mas achei que o cinto verde com o toucado cor-de rosa era mistura a mais. Se adicionarmos a isso um cabelo solto e ondulado, um colar de diamantes e uns brincos de esmeraldas e uma faixa amarela e vermelha,  temos desastre certo. A sério, não gostei nada, apesar de ter gostado muito do vestido. Felipe VI usa o Colar da Ordem do Crisântemo e Letizia usa a Ordem da Coroa Preciosa.
I am so glad when Letizia comes up at these world royal events. She always brings something different. But that's not always a good thing.  Well, I liked the dress a lot because of the difference in the overall picture. But I thought the green belt with the pink headdress was too much of a mix. Adding to that loose, wavy hair, a diamond necklace, emerald earrings and a yellow and red sash, and we have a complete disaster. Seriously, I didn't like it at all, despiste the fact I loved the dress. Felipe VI wears the Collar of the Order of Chrysanthemum and Letizia wears the Order of the Precious Crown.

Adoro quando Letizia incorpora a sua versão La Reina. Adoro quando ela usa as usas armas todas, neste caso a Tiara Flor de Lís. Detesto quando alguém que sabe que tem de usar uma faixa amarela e vermelha, opta por usar um vestido rosa choque ENORME.  Não gostei do vestido, mas adorei que ela viesse com tudo para o Japão.
I love it when Letizia incorporates  La Reina version. I love it when she uses all her weapons, in this case the Fleur de Lis Tiara. I hate it when someone who knows she has to wear a yellow and red sash chooses to wear a HUGE hot pink dress. I didn't like the dress at all, but I loved that Letizia came to Japan in full force.

Holanda / The Netherlands

Se existe pessoa com quem podemos contar para um grande look de vestido longo e chapéu é a Rainha da Holanda. Afinal de contas, são muitos anos de Prinsjesdag...E de facto Máxima repetiu um look deste importante evento holandês (2017). Pena que foi um pouco deslumbrante. Não é feio, mas se não fosse a couve-flor na cabeça uma pessoa até adormecia de tédio. Além disso tenho uma confissão a fazer-vos que pode chocar o leitor mais sensível: estão a ver a gargantilha de diamantes que Máxima usou? Detesto-a!!! Willem-Alexander usou o Colar da Ordem do Crisântemo e Máxima usou a Ordem da Coroa Preciosa.

If there is one we can count on for a great long dress/hat  look is the Queen of the Netherlands. After all, she attends Prinsjesdag's for many years now ... And indeed Maximus repeated a look from this important Dutch event (2017). Too bad it wasn't a stunning one. It's not ugly, but if it wasn't for the cauliflower on Maxi's head one would even fall asleep with boredom. Besides, I have a confession to make that may shock the most sensitive reader: are you seeing the diamond choker Maxima wore? I hate it !!! Willem-Alexander wore the Collar of the Order of Chrysanthemum  and Maxima wore the Order of the Precious Crown.

E depois tivemos o banquete e mais uma combinação de cores que não gostei. O vestido de Máxima é mais uma daquelas situações que provavelmente ao vivo seria mais bonita. Mas o vermelho com a encharpe preta e aquela faixa e aquela gargantilha...Não!! Valeu o penteado que deu a Máxima todo um ar de Deusa poderosa completado com a Tiara de Rubis Mellerio.

And then we had the banquet and one more color match I didn't like. Maxima's dress is another one of those situations that would probably be prettier live. But the red with the black scarf and the sashe and that choker ... No !! Thanks to the hairstyle that gave Maxima a powerful Goddess's look completed with the Ruby Mellerio's Tiara.

Para o banquete oferecido pelo Primeiro-Ministro, no dia seguinte, a Rainha holandesa usou um jumpsuit burgundy com um bolero que usou no Prinsjesdag deste ano. Estava muito bonita.

For the Prime Minister's banquet the following day, the Dutch Queen wore a burgundy jumpsuit with a bolero she wore at this year's Prinsjesdag. It was very pretty.

Suécia / Sweden

O Rei Carl XVI Gustaf fez-se acompanhar da sua filha, a Princesa da Coroa Victoria nas cerimónias de Entronização. Oiçam, eu ainda estou para saber se o vestido de Victoria é azul ou roxo. De qualquer forma,  há qualquer coisa no look que não me agrada completamente e não sei bem dizer o quê. Mas acho que basicamente é a cor, apesar de que uma coisa temos que admitir: Victoria soube combinar a cor da faixa com o vestido. O Rei sueco usa o Colar da Ordem do Crisântemo e Victoria usa o Grande Cordão da Ordem do Crisântemo.
King Carl XVI Gustaf was accompanied by his daughter, Crown Princess Victoria at the Enthronement ceremonies. Listen, I'm still wondering if Victoria's dress is blue or purple. Anyway, there is something about the look that I don't like completely and I am not sure what it is. But I think it's basically the color, though one thing we have to admit: Victoria knew how to match the color of the sash with the dress. The Swedish King wears the Order of Chrysanthemum Necklace and Victoria wears the Great Cord of the Order of Chrysanthemum.

De noite a coisa ainda piorou mais. De todos os vestidos maravilhoso que Victoria poderia repetir, a escolha foi esta camisa de dormir victoriana que não beneficiou nada da luz do palácio imperial. Victoria usou ainda a Tiara Laureal da Princesa Lilian.
At night it got even worse. Of all the wonderful dresses Victoria could repeat, the choice was this Victorian nightgown that benefited nothing from the light of the imperial palace. Victoria also used Princess Lilian's Laureal Tiara.

No dia seguinte, Victoria não podia deixar passar a oportunidade de usar um vestido com padrão floral. E aqui está ele. Nada a acrescentar.
The next day, Victoria couldn't miss the opportunity to wear a floral-patterned dress. And here it is. Nothing to add.

Resumindo: acho que todos concordamos que 1) ou mudam as cores da Ordem da Coroa Preciosa, ou 2) Concedem uma nova Ordem às meninas ou 3) Victoria dá lições de como combinar faixas e vestidos ao resto da malta.
In summary: I think we all agree that 1) either someone changes the colors of the Order of the Precious Crown, or 2) Grant a new Order to the girls, or 3) Victoria teaches her friends how to combine sashes and dresses.

Também presentes nas cerimónias o Príncipe Albert do Mónaco (Charlene esteve com ele e com os filhos no Japão dias depois para a final do campeonato do mundo de rugby...), o Grão-Duque Henri do Luxemburgo, o Príncipe de Gales e o Príncipe da Coroa Haakon da Noruega. Sentimos a falta das respectivas cônjuges.
Also present at the ceremonies were Prince Albert of Monaco (Charlene was with him and their children in Japan days later for the Rugby World Cup final ...), Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Prince of Wales and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. We miss their spouses.
