Best of 2018 - Camilla
Voltamos hoje com os dois últimos posts do ano. Começando pela segunda edição do Best of da Duquesa da Cornualha, aqui no T&T. O que me surpreendeu o ano passado, voltou a confirmar-se em 2018: Camilla é uma mulher prática que repete imensos visuais durante o ano e que prefere claramente o conforto e simplicidade ao glamour e novidade.
We returned today with the last two posts of the year. Starting with the second edition of the Best of for the Duchess of Cornwall, here at T & T. What surprised me last year was confirmed again in 2018: Camilla is a practical woman who repeats several looks, a lot, during the year and who clearly prefers comfort and simplicity to glamor and trends.

Talvez tenham existido looks mais "reais" durante o ano, mas este é aquele que reflecte sem dúvida o caminho de Camilla. O Príncipe de Gales celebrou 70 anos em 2018 e esta fotografia foi tirada momentos antes do casal sair para a festa de aniversário oferecida pela Rainha no Palácio de Buckingham. Sem dúvida que em nenhum outro evento, Camilla se terá sentido mais Princesa do seu Príncipe do que neste dia.
Perhaps there have been more "regal" looks for Camilla during the year, but this is the one that undoubtedly reflects Camilla's path. The Prince of Wales celebrated 70 years in 2018 and this photograph was taken moments before the couple left for the birthday party hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. No doubt that in no other event, Camilla will have felt more her Prince's Princess than on this day.

Com alguns casamentos reais na agenda da família real britânica em 2018, mais as usuais corridas de Ascot, tours reais e umas quantas celebrações oficiais seria relativamente fácil encontrar um look diurno com chapéu que tivesse captado a minha atenção. Não sendo o mais óbvio, a escolha de Camilla para o serviço anual da Ordem da Jarreteira esteve irrepreensível. Adoro ver a Camilla de branco e os detalhes em preto conferem um interesse extra a este look.
With some royal weddings on the agenda of the British royal family in 2018 plus the usual Ascot races, royal tours and a few official celebrations it would be relatively easy to find a daytime look with a hat that had caught my attention. Not being the most obvious, Camilla's choice for the annual service of the Order of the Garter was picture-perfect. I love to see Camilla in white and the black details give an extra interest on this look.

Definitivamente não podemos aplicar os mesmos critérios em termos de tendências e escolhas a uma senhora de 71 que aplicamos às nossas meninas de 30 e 40. Quando falamos em Camilla e moda, as suas escolhas são muito semelhantes e previsíveis. Para o bem e para o mau. Se por um lado sabemos que a esposa do Príncipe de Gales adora branco para cerimónias de estado (Bom), por outro lado também sabemos que Camilla não resiste de tempos a tempos a uma saia mais jovial de corte envasé com uma jaqueta a condizer.(Mau).
We definitely can not apply the same criteria in terms of trends and choices to a lady of 71 that we apply to our girls in their 30s and 40s. When we talk about Camilla and fashion, her choices are very similar and predictable. For good and for bad.
