No passado Sábado, Frederik e Mary compareceram à habitual Gala Crown Prince Couple Awards 2015 (Prémios Príncipes da Coroa ).

Os Prémios criados em 2004 pela Fundação Bikuben como um presente de casamento para Frederik e Mary, premeiam ideias inovadoras, performances extraordinárias e trabalho criativo nas mais diferentes áreas da sociedade com a cultura, arte e trabalho social.
The Prizes created in 2004 by the Bikuben Foundation as a wedding gift to Frederik and Mary, reward innovative ideas, extraordinary performances and creative work in different areas of society: as culture, art and social work.

Existem actualmente quatro prémios: o Prémio Cultura, que honra um artista dinamarquês ou gronelandês ou das Ilhas Faroe com potencial internacional, o Prémio Social, que homenageia um projecto dinamarquês ou gronelandês ou das Ilhas Faroe com potencial internacional na esfera social, ambos no valor de DKK 500.000. Existem ainda dois Prémios Stardust que premeiam dois jovens artistas com talento promissor, cada um no valor de DKK 50.000.

Quanto a Mary, a meu ver estava linda. O look vintage era bastante sóbrio e onde se destacavam uma maquilhagem mais ousada e peças do Parure de Rubis. Adoro a forma como Mary usa estas peças de gala em ocasiões mais informais!!
As for Mary, in my view she was beautiful. The vintage look was quite sober and which stood out a bolder make-up and parts of the Ruby Parure. I love how Mary uses this gala jewels in more informal occasions !!

Ontem foi dia de abertura do Parlamento Dinamarquês. E há muito tempo que não víamos a família real dinamarquesa reunida. Há mesmo muuuito tempo!

São poucas as fotografias até à data do evento que basicamente consiste em a família real chegar ao Parlamento, por ordem decrescente de hierarquia, cumprimentarem-se e finalmente seguirem para o interior do edifício onde assistem do balcão à Abertura de Sessão do novo Ano Parlamentar, este ano especial, dado que houveram eleições e um novo governo foi formado.

Em relação aos looks das senhoras, posso dizer que pela primeira vez em anos, achei que Marie estava perfeita. Mary em tons muito escuros e sem o brilho de outros anos não me convenceu.
Regarding the looks of the ladies, I can say that for the first time in years, I thought Marie was perfect. Mary in very dark tones and without the brightness of previous years did not convince me.

In other shocking news it will be presented for the first time in Swedish history, a multi-partisan motion, to be voted in Parliament for the abolition of the monarchy. I know, what a heck, right??

Anteriormente já tinham sido apresentadas outras moções do género, mas sempre de membros de Partidos Radicais Republicanos. Esta é a primeira vez que vários membros de diferentes partidos, incluindo a ala moderada, se uniram para apresentar a moção.

Segundo a nossa sempre bem informada A.S. do T&T no facebook, o principal motivo levantado para esta questão assenta no facto da Suécia ter lutado imenso nas últimas décadas para se tornar um exemplo de igualdade, onde o sucesso é baseado no mérito individual em vez dos privilégios. E como tal, a monarquia não se enquadra nesta realidade.

Não acreditamos que esta moção passe no Parlamento...por agora. A verdade é que mesmo com toda a popularidade que certas monarquias poderão ter, com o passar dos anos, questões como estas levantadas agora na Suécia serão cada vez mais frequentes em outros países. Acredito que dentro de 10-20 anos muitas monarquias que conhecemos hoje poderão não existir. Não chamarei a isso evolução.
I do not believe that this motion passes in Parliament ... for now. The truth is that even with all the popularity that certain monarchies may have, over the years, questions like these raised now in Sweden will become increasingly common in other countries. I believe that within 10-20 years many monarchies we know today may not exist anymore. I will not call it an natural evolution.

Esperamos que essa moção não passe no Parlamento da Suécia. A monarquia é o melhor regime e tem que ser preservadas.
