Nada nos faz pensar mais na passagem do tempo do que olharmos para os polos opostos da vida: a Juventude e a Velhice. Se nos anos em que o T&T esteve ausente, a velhice culminou na perda de figuras icónicas da nossa realeza, a verdade e que também temos assistido a um desabrochar das gerações mais novas.
No passado mês de Abril assistimos a vários acontecimentos envolvendo algumas das caras jovens que vimos nascer. Não é novidade que eu me emociono muito com este crescimento dos jovens príncipes e princesas desta Europa, mas bolas houve coisas para as quais eu não estava emocionalmente preparada.
Nothing makes us more aware about the passage of time than looking at life's opposite poles: Youth and Old Age.If in the years when T&T was absent, old age culminated in the loss of iconic figures of our royalty, the truth is that we have also witnessed a blossoming of the younger generations. Last April we witnessed several important events involving some of the young faces we saw being born. It is no surprise that I am very moved by this growth of the young european princes and princesses, but damn there were some things for which I was not emotionally prepared.

Começamos na Noruega, onde a Princesa Ingrid Alexandra após ter cumprido serviço militar no Exército durante 15 meses no Batalhão de Engenheiros da Brigada Norte, participou pela primeira vez numa Visita de Estado.
We begin in Norway, where Princess Ingrid Alexandra, after a 15 month military training in the Engineer Battalion of the Northern Brigade, took part in a State Visit for the first time.
A segunda na linha de sucessão ao trono esteve presente na cerimónia de boas-vindas à Presidente da Islândia e ao seu marido, juntamente com os seus pais, o Príncipe herdeiro Haakon e com a Princesa Mette-Marit e os seus avós, o Rei Harald V e a Rainha Sonja, aos quais também se juntou a Princesa Astrid (Deus a conserve!).
The second in line to the throne was present at the welcoming ceremony for the Madame President of Iceland and her husband, along with her parents, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit and her grandparents, King Harald V and Queen Sonja, also joined by Princess Astrid (God bless her).

De noite a nossa Fada das Neves deixou o uniforme militar em casa e compareceu ao Banquete de Estado, onde usou um vestidos da sua mãe - um hábito desde que completou 18 anos e passou a marcar presença em eventos de Gala. Embora aprove a reciclagem, não acho que esta cor favoreça particularmente a futura Rainha da Noruega.
In the evening, our Snow Fairy left her military uniform at home and attended the State Banquet, where she wore one of her mother's dresses - a habit she has had since she turned 18 and started attending Gala events. Although I approve of recycling, I don't think this color particularly suits the future Queen of Norway.
Na cabeça a tiara que recebeu por ocasião do seu 18º aniversário - uma peça que pertencia à sua tia-avó paterna a Princesa Ragnild e que voltou à Casa Real por vontade dos seus descendentes para marcar a maioridade da nossa Ingrid. Adoro esta tiara e acho-a maravilhosa para uma tiara de jovem princesa, MAS este look merecia um cabelo arranjado.
On her head is the tiara she received for her 18th birthday - a piece that belonged to her paternal great-aunt Princess Ragnild and that returned to the Royal House at the behest of her descendants to mark Ingrid's coming of age. I love this tiara and I think it's wonderful for a young princess's tiara, BUT this look deserves a hairdo.
Da Noruega passamos para os Países Baixos, onde a Princesa de Orange marcou presença do seu primeiro evento a solo fora do país.

O jardim foi um presente de agradecimento à cidade de Madrid pelo tempo em que a princesa lá viveu entre 2023 e 2024. Recorde-se que Catharina-Amalia teve que abandonar a universidade que frequentava em Amesterdão por razões de segurança e procurou refúgio na capital espanhola, onde continuou os seus estudos remotamente.
The garden was a thank you gift to the city of Madrid for the time the princess lived there between 2023 and 2024. It is worth remembering that Catharina-Amalia had to leave the university she attended in Amsterdam for security reasons and sought refuge in the Spanish capital, where she continued her studies remotely.
É impossivel olhar para esta placa e este jardim e não imaginar daqui a alguns anos, os descendentes de Catharina virem visitar este local e trocarem confidências sobre o tempo em que a futura Rainha passou aqui.
It is impossible to look at this plaque and this garden and not imagine that, in a few years, Catharina's descendants will come to visit this place and exchange confidences about the time the future Queen spent here.

No dia do seu aniversário, fomos presenteados com os primeiros retratos oficiais em modo gala da aniversariante. Isabella usa pela primeira vez as insignias da Ordem do Elefante e a Ordem de Família com o retrato do seu pai. Na cabeça uma tiara dos cofres reais dinamarqueses - um presente da sua avó a Rainha Margrethe. Pessoalmente sabem que não sou fã de turquesas, mas achei que esta tiara foi a escolha perfeita para a nossa Isabella e a combinação de cores foi sublime juntamente com o corte do vestido que muito favoreceu a filha de Frederik X e Mary da Dinamarca.

On her birthday, we were presented with the first official portraits of the birthday girl. Isabella wore the insignia of the Order of the Elephant and the Family Order with her father's portrait for the first time. On her head was a tiara from the Danish royal vault - a gift from her grandmother Queen Margrethe. Personally, you know that I'm not a fan of turquoise, but I thought this tiara was the perfect choice for our Isabella and the combination of colours was sublime, together with the cut of the dress, which really flattered the daughter of Frederik X and Mary of Denmark.

Para finalizar é impossível não falar de Leonor, Princesa das Astúrias, que está há 4 meses no Navio Escola Juan Sebastián de Elcano na América do Sul, como parte da sua formação militar nos vários ramos das forças armadas espanholas.
Finally, it is impossible not to mention Leonor, Princess of Asturias, who has been on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano Training Ship in South America for 4 months, as part of her military training in the various branches of the spanish armed forces.
