Princesa Madeleine da Suécia lança livro infantil / Princess Madeleine of Sweden launches children's book

A Princesa Madeleine da Suécia regressou a Estocolmo para o lançamento do seu primeiro livro infantil - "Stella e o Segredo".

Princess Madeleine of Sweden returned to Stockholm for the launch of her first children's book - "Stella and the Secret."

O livro foi escrito em co-autoria com Marie Oskarsson, Karini Gustafson-Teixeira e a ilustradora Stina Lövkvist.  Na capa, Madeleine usou o seu nome de família "Bernadotte".

The book was written in co-authorship with Marie Oskarsson, Karini Gustafson-Teixeira and illustrator Stina Lövkvist. On the cover, Madeleine used her family name "Bernadotte".

Trata-se de um projecto em colaboração com a World Childhood Foundation, que apoia crianças e jovens em risco e que foi fundada pela Rainha Sílvia da Suécia há 20 anos. O livro conta a história de Stella, uma menina com 9 anos de idade e aborda questões relativas á integridade, confiança e auto-estima.

It is a project in collaboration with the World Childhood Foundation, which supports children and young people at risk , founded by Queen Silvia of Sweden 20 years ago. The book tells the story of Stella, a 9-year-old girl who addresses issues of integrity, trust, and self-esteem.

O livro, por enquanto, está apenas disponível em livrarias suecas.  Todos os dias milhares de crianças são vítimas de violência e abuso sexual. Todos os dias as suas vozes são silenciadas, por vezes durante anos. Muitas vezes dentro do seu lar, por aqueles que as deveriam manter seguras. Expressões como "É um segredo nosso, não contes a ninguém" têm um peso inimaginável para uma criança que acredita, de facto, que tem que ficar calada e que talvez a situação de abuso que está a viver é normal. Não é. Esperemos que o livro seja traduzido e se globalize em breve!

The book, for the time being, is only available in Swedish bookstores. Every day thousands of children are victims of violence and sexual abuse. Every day their voices are silenced, sometimes for years. Often within their homes, by those who should keep them safe. Expressions like "It's our secret, don't tell anyone" have an unimaginable weight for a child who believes in fact that has to keep quiet and that perhaps the abuse situation he or she is experiencing is normal.
