Na semana passada, Leonor, Princesa das Astúrias celebrou o seu 13º aniversário. Para marcar a data que coincidiu com as celebrações dos 40 anos da Constituição Espanhola, a futura Rainha de Espanha fez a sua primeira leitura pública na sede do Instituto Cervantes.

Last week, Leonor, Princess of Asturias celebrated her 13th birthday. To mark the date that coincided with the celebrations of the 40 years of the Spanish Constitution, the future Queen of Spain made her first public reading at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute.

Durante este acto solene o Rei Felipe VI deu inicio à leitura do Preâmbulo da Constituição Espanhola. De seguida, a sua filha mais velha, perante o olhar orgulhoso da sua mãe a Rainha Letizia e da sua irmã mais nova, a Infanta Sofia, sentadas na audiência, tomou o palco para ler o Artigo 1 do Título Preliminar da Carta Magna:

During this solemn act King Felipe VI began the reading of the Preamble of the Spanish Constitution. Next, his eldest daughter, before the proud look of his mother Queen Letizia and her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, seated at the audience, took the stage to read Article 1 of the Preliminary Title of the Magna Carta:

1. "Espanha constitui um Estado social e democrático de Direito que tem como valores superiores do seu ordenamento jurídico, a liberdade, a justiça, a igualdade e o pluralismo político."
2. " A soberania nacional reside no povo espanhol, do qual emanam os poderes do Estado."
3. " A forma política do Estado espanhol é a Monarquia parlamentar".
1. "Spain constitutes a social and democratic State of Law which has as the highest values ​​of its legal system, freedom, justice, equality and political pluralism."
2. "National sovereignty resides in the Spanish people, from which emanate the powers of the State."
3. "The political form of the Spanish State is the parliamentary monarchy".

Leonor seguiu assim os passos do seu pai, o Rei, que também fez as sua primeira leitura pública aos 13 anos de idade. A filha mais velha de Felipe e Letizia de Espanha mostrou-se bastante confiante, olhando de frente a sua audiência enquanto fazia a leitura. E que voz doce, Leonor tem!
