Eu não vejo muitos noticiários, mas pelo feedback que tenho recebido, a Visita de Estado do Rei e da Rainha da Bélgica a Portugal tem tido pouca ou nenhuma cobertura nos meios de comunicação portugueses. Ora o T&T também serve para prestar um serviço público, embora confesse que não existe de facto muita informação disponível quer no site da Casa Real Belga, quer no site da Presidência da República sobre o programa oficial desta visita. Foi preciso algum esforço, ajuda e imaginação de bloggers e jornalistas estrangeiros (Obrigada Netty!) para conseguir alguma informação para vos fornecer.
I do not see many news reports, but from the feedback I have received, the State Visit of the King and Queen of Belgium to Portugal has had little or no coverage at all in the Portuguese media. O segundo dia da Visita de Estado que trouxe Philippe e Mathilde dos Belgas a Portugal, começou com uma visita à Fundação Oceano Azul e ao Oceanário de Lisboa na companhia do Presidente da República Portuguesa, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Durante esta visita o casal e respectiva comitiva focaram-se em questões como a sustentabilidade dos oceanos e na discussão de estratégias que levem a que as actividades económicas ligadas a este sector possam ser desenvolvidas em sinergia com a sua protecção.

Durante a visita ao Oceanário, a nossa querida A.S. da nossa comunidade no Facebook teve a oportunidade de cumprimentar o casal real belga e enviar uma mensagem ao nosso Presidente. Ela pediu ao Presidente para trazer mais convidados destes ao nosso país e que gostaria muito de ver os nórdicos por cá. Marcelo sorriu e disse que ia tentar! Missão T&T cumprida!
During the visit to the Oceanarium, our dear A.S. from our Facebook community had the opportunity to greet the Belgian royal couple and send a message to our President. She asked the President to bring more of these guests to our country and that she would very much like to see the Nordic royals here. Marcelo smiled and said he would try! T & T Mission fulfilled!

De seguida Philippe e Mathilde tiveram agendas separadas. Enquanto o Rei belga participou numa reunião com líderes políticos e económicos portugueses e belgas para discutir cooperação, em campos como a economia circular e arquitectura, a Rainha Mathilde visitou a Fundação Champalimaud e o Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, um prestigiado centro de investigação biomédica onde se faz investigação e tratamentos pioneiros, nomeadamente a nível oncológico.

A agenda separada continuou da parte da tarde. Philippe participou numa mesa redonda sobre Empreendedorismo e inovação social que contou com a presença de vários empreendedores portugueses e belgas.
The separate agenda continued in the afternoon. Philippe participated in a roundtable discussion on Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation that was attended by several Portuguese and Belgian entrepreneurs.
Por sua vez, a Rainha belga visitou a Associação Cultural Moinho da Juventude, uma ONG fundada pela cidadã belga Godelieve Meerchaert para a reabilitação do bairro da Cova da Moura, um dos bairros mais problemáticos de Lisboa.
On her turn, the Belgian Queen visited the Moinho da Juventude Cultural Association, an NGO founded by a Belgian citizen, Godelieve Meerchaert, for the rehabilitation of the Cova da Moura neighborhood, one of Lisbon's most troubled neighborhoods.
Esta visita reflecte uma das causas próximas do coração da rainha belga, para a qual a luta contra a pobreza e o apoio aos mais desfavorecidos, sempre foi uma prioridade. Mathilde esbanjou simpatia e parece ter conquistado adultos e crianças que beneficiam dos programas de apoio social desta organização.
This visit reflects one of the causes closest to Mathilde's heart, for whom the fight against poverty and support to the most disadvantaged has always been a priority. Mathilde lavished sympathy and seems to have conquered adults and children who benefit from the social support programs of this organization.
De noite e para finalizar o segundo dia de visita, o Rei e a Rainha Belgas organizaram um concerto musical do grupo "Huelgas Ensemble" para agradecer a hospitalidade do Presidente da República durante a estadia da comitiva belga em Portugal. O concerto teve lugar na Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
In the evening, to conclude the second day of the visit, the Belgian King and Queen organized a musical concert by the group "Huelgas Ensemble" to thank the President of the Republic for his hospitality during the stay of the Belgian delegation in Portugal. The concert took place at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
