UPDATED: Uma nova Princesa nasceu na Suécia! / A new Princess was born in Sweden!
Quando as terceiras gravidezes da Duquesa de Cambridge e da Princesa Madeleine da Suécia foram anunciadas eu tive uma certeza: quero meninas! Meninas que se transformem em mulheres poderosas e que, aliado a um factor puramente fútil, tenham muitas ocasiões para usar tiara no futuro.
Ora bem, até agora, tudo bem!
When the third pregnancies of the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Madeleine of Sweden were announced I was sure about one thing: I want girls! Girls who become powerful women and who, coupled with a purely superficial factor, will have many occasions to wear tiara in the future.
So all I can say is: so far, so good!

Por poucos minutos a segunda filha da Princesa Madeleine da Suécia e do executivo Christopher O'Neill não nascia no Dia Internacional da Mulher. O nascimento aconteceu às primeiras horas de hoje no Hospital Danderyd em Estocolmo. Mãe e bebé encontram-se bem de saúde e o pai esteve presente no momento do parto. Desta vez não houve conferência de imprensa, à semelhança do que aconteceu com o nascimento do segundo filho do casal, Nicolas em 2015. Tanto o nascimento como o sexo da criança foram anunciados por comunicados oficiais da casa real sueca.
For a few minutes the second daughter of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and executive Christopher O'Neill was not born on International Women's Day. The birth occurred in the early hours of today at the Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. Mother and baby are in good health and the father was present at the time of delivery. This time there was no press conference, as happened with the birth of the couple's second child, Nicolas in 2015. Both the birth and the sex of the child were announced by official statements of the Swedish Royal House.

O nome e título da Princesa serão divulgados na próxima segunda-feira de manhã numa reunião de gabinete conduzida pelo Rei Carl Gustaf. Ao meio-dia e quinze minutos terá lugar o serviço religioso Te Deum em agradecimento pelo nascimento da nova Princesa, na Capela Real do Palácio Real em Estocolmo, ao qual comparecerão o Rei, a Rainha, a Princesa da Coroa, o Príncipe Daniel, o Príncipe Carl Philip, a Princesa Sofia e, claro, Christopher O'Neill.
A mais recente Princesa da Suécia junta-se assim a Leonore, 4 anos, e Nicolas, que completa 3 anos este ano. A menina é o 7º neto do Rei Carl Gustaf e da Rainha Sílvia da Suécia. O casal real encontrava-se de férias na Suiça e estarão a voltar neste momento para a Suécia para conhecerem o novo membro da família. Ao meio-dia de hoje 21 tiros de canhão são disparados em Estocolmo, Boden, Härnösand, Karlskrona and Göteborg para celebrar o nascimento de uma nova Princesa na Suécia. Mal posso esperar pelo baptizado que deverá decorrer em Maio/Junho.
The newest Princess of Sweden joins 4-year-old Leonore and Nicolas, who will turn 3 later this year. The girl is the 7th grandchild of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. The royal couple were on ski holiday in Switzerland and will be returning to Sweden to meet the new family member. At noon 21 salute shots will be fired in Stockholm, Boden, Härnösand, Karlskrona and Göteborg to celebrate the arrival of a new Princess in Sweden. I can not wait for the christening, which will likely take place in May / June.

The Princess's name and title will be announced next Monday morning at a cabinet meeting led by King Carl Gustaf. At noon and fifteen minutes the Te Deum religious service will be held in thanksgiving for the birth of the new Princess, in the Royal Chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm, attended by the King, Queen, the Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and, of course, Christopher O'Neill.

No mesmo dia decorrem as celebrações do Dia do Nome da Princesa da Coroa Victoria, que tiveram que ser adiadas para o período da tarde devido aos eventos que decorrem durante a manhã em conexão com o nascimento da nova Princesa.

Durante a tarde foi divulgada a primeira fotografia da recém-nascida. Segundo o pai a pequena Princesa é muito parecida a Nicolas quando nasceu, mas com mais cabelo e mais escuro. Mãe e filha já deixaram o hospital e estão neste momento em casa, onde Leonore e Nicolas estarão a ser apresentados à sua irmã mais nova. Vários membros da família expressaram já a sua alegria em breves comunicados perante a chegada de mais uma criança na família.
During the afternoon the first photograph of the newborn was released. According to the father the little Princess is very similar to Nicolas when he was born, but with more hair and darker. Mother and daughter have already left the hospital and are now at home, where Leonore and Nicolas are being introduced to their baby sister. Several members of the family have already expressed their joy in brief statementes on the occasion of the arrival of another child in the family.
Dias depois a Princesa Madeleine inaugurou a sua recém-criada conta no Instagram com uma fotografia dos seus três filhos. Acreditamos que a mamã babada devia ter lágrimas nos olhos quando tirou esta fotografia.
