Após a overdose de tiaras e brilho nos últimos Nobel, o blog fez uma pausa e voltamos hoje para falar um pouco mais sobre uma tiara que tem vindo a conquistar várias damas da família real sueca. Divide ódios e amores. Mas uma coisa é certa: ninguém fica indiferente ao seu brilho.

After the overdose of tiaras and glow in the last Nobels, the blog paused and we return today to speak a little more about a tiara that has been conquering several ladies of the Swedish royal family. Divide hatreds and love. But one thing is certain: no one is indifferent to its bling.

A Tiara Kokoshnik Sueca de Águas-Marinhas / The Swedish Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara

Apesar de não existirem provas concretas, pensa-se que esta tiara tenha pertencido à Princesa Margaret of Connaught que casou em 1905 com o futuro Rei Gustaf VI Adolf da Suécia. Após a morte de Margaret em 1920 as suas jóias foram divididas pelos seus filhos. Esta tiara de diamantes onde se destacam 5 enormes águas-marinhas faria parte de um conjunto onde se inclui pelo menos um broche. O seu estilo é inspirado nos ornamentos para a cabeça usados na Corte Imperial Russa - o kokoshnik - daí o seu nome.

Although there is no concrete evidence, it is thought that this tiara belonged to Princess Margaret of Connaught who married in 1905 with the future King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden. After Margaret's death in 1920 her jewels were divided by her children. This diamond tiara featuring 5 huge aquamarines would be part of a set that includes at least one brooch. Its style is inspired by the head ornaments worn at the Russian Imperial Court - the kokoshnik - hence its name.

Princess Sibylla

Esta peça foi vista pela primeira vez na Princesa Sibylla de Saxe-Coburg e Gotha, Princesa da Coroa da Suécia, esposa do filho de Margaret e mãe do actual Rei Carl XVI da Suécia. Sibylla, devido à morte prematura do seu marido, nunca chegou a ser Rainha da Suécia. A Princesa ainda usou esta peça em diversas ocasiões.

This piece was first seen in Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Crown Princess of Sweden, wife of Margaret's son and mother of the current King Carl XVI of Sweden. Sibylla, due to her husband's premature death, never became Queen of Sweden. The Princess has still used this piece on several occasions.

Princess Sibylla

Algures nos anos 60, Sibylla terá oferecido esta tiara à sua filha mais velha, a Princesa Margaretha (sim, sim, estes nomes são todos iguais!). Margaretha casou em 1964 com John Ambler e mudou-se para o Reino Unido. Os seus compromissos oficiais tornaram-se escassos e esta tiara caiu no esquecimento, principalmente após Sibylla Ambler filha de Margaretha ter usado esta tiara no dia do seu casamento em 1998.

Somewhere in the '60s, Sibylla will have offered this tiara to her eldest daughter, Princess Margaretha (yes, yes, these names are all the same!). Margaretha married in 1964 with John Ambler and moved to the United Kingdom. Her official appointments became scarce and this tiara fell by the wayside, especially after Margaretha's daughter,  Sibylla Ambler, had worn this tiara on her wedding day in 1998.

Em 2010 a tiara reaparece novamente no casamento real da Princesa Victoria da Suécia com Daniel Westling. Margaretha escolheu esta peça com alto valor sentimental para um casamento na família. O broche usado nesta ocasião também poderá ser o broche que faz, aparentemente, parte do conjunto.

Segundo consta a tiara terá ficado na Suécia, visto que tem sido usada por vários membros da família real sueca desde então, incluindo a sua irmã, a Princesa Christina, apesar de para todos os efeitos a tiara continuar a pertencer à Princesa Margaretha.

In 2010 the tiara reappears again at the royal wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden with Daniel Westling. Margaretha chose this piece with high sentimental value for a family wedding. The brooch used on this occasion may also be the brooch that makes part of the set. It is reported that the tiara has remained in Sweden, since it has been used by several members of the Swedish royal family ever since, including her sister, Princess Christina, although for all intents and purposes the tiara continues to belong to Princess Margaretha.

A sua sobrinha, a Princesa Madeleine da Suécia usou-a pela primeira vez na Cerimónia dos Prémios Nobel em 2015, surpreendendo tudo e todos. 

Margarethe's niece, Princess Madeleine of Sweden used it for the first time at the Nobel Prize Ceremony in 2015, surprising everyone.

No ano seguinte uma nova fotografia de perfil foi adicionada ao site da Família Real Sueca e nele podemos observar a filha mais nova dos monarcas suecas com esta peça e uns brincos de águas-marinhas a condizer. No mesmo ano, durante a Visita de Estado do Governador do Canadá, Madeleine voltou a deslumbrar com esta tiara que sem dúvida lhe assenta na perfeição.

The following year a new profile photo was added to the website of the Swedish Royal Family and we can see the youngest daughter of the Swedish monarchs with this piece and matching aquamarine earrings. In the same year, during the State Visit of the Governor of Canada, Madeleine returned to dazzle with this tiara that undoubtedly suits her to perfection.

E depois não podemos esquecer, é claro, quiçá a aparição mais fantástica de sempre desta tiara: uma festa de Princesas no Palácio Real para crianças apoiadas pelo Min Stora Dag (O meu dia especial), um dos Patronatos da Princesa Madeleine.
And then we can not forget, of course, perhaps the most fantastic appearance ever of this tiara: a Princesses tea party in the Royal Palace for children supported by Min Stora Dag (My Special Day), one of Princess Madeleine's patronages.

Este ano, mais uma vez durante a Cerimónia de Entrega dos Prémios Nobel outra surpresa: A Princesa da Coroa Victoria surge com a tiara da tia assente numa base de diamantes. Confesso que este tom de azul assenta muito bem em Victoria, mas ainda assim, acho que esta tiara não a favorece. Até parece que as pedras brilham menos. Esta é uma tiara que pela sua forma, e cor, precisa de um penteado trabalhado que lhe dê volume atrás e menos rigidez à frente.

This year once again during the Nobel Prize Giving Ceremony another surprise: Crown Princess Victoria appears with her aunt's tiara based on a diamond riviere. I confess that this shade of blue suits Victoria very well, but still, I think this tiara does not suit her. It even seems that the stones shine less. This is a tiara that by its shape, and color, needed a worked hairstyle that gives some back volume and less rigidity ahead.
