Quatro desgostos de moda numa semana / Four fashion heartbreaks in a week

Ando muito ocupada e cansada. O meu cérebro movimenta-se muito lentamente perante a agitação de pensamentos e tarefas que o ocupam de momento. E acredito (gosto mesmo de acreditar) que algumas da nossas meninas favoritas decidiram ser solidárias comigo e resolveram, por razões que apenas a elas dizem respeito, colocar de lado o seu discernimento de distinguir o bom do mau, o certo do errado, o bonito do horrível.

É a minha teoria. E a única forma que arranjo para explicar a verdadeira feira dos horrores que assistimos nesta semana.
I'm very busy and tired. My brain moves very slowly in the middle of the crowd of thoughts and tasks that live on it for the moment. And I believe (I really do believe) that some of our favorite girls decided to be in solidarity with me and resolved, for reasons that only concern them, to put aside their discernment to distinguish the good from the bad, the right from the wrong, the beautiful from the horrible.
It's my theory. And the only way I can explain the real fair of the horrors we witnessed this week.

Kronprinsparrets Sociale Pris 2017 gik til organisationen DIGNITY, der arbejder med at give herboende torturofre og deres familier en værdig tilværelse i Danmark. Kronprinsparrets Kulturpris gik til samplere og komponister Martin Højland og Simon Dokkedal fra Den Sorte Skole. Og Kronprinsparrets to Stjernedryspriser gik til henholdsvis beklædningsdesigner Cecilie Bahnsen og podcasten Third Ear ved Tim Hinman og Krister Moltzen.

Comecemos por Mary! Sim, a MINHA MARY! A Princesa da da Coroa da Dinamarca acompanhada pelo seu marido, o Príncipe da Coroa Frederik compareceu no passado Sábado à entrega dos Kronprinsparrets Priser 2017, ou Prémios Casal da Coroa. Os prémios são anualmente concedidos a quem se tenha distinguido na sociedade dinamarquesa na área cultural e social.

Mary usou um vestido azul da autoria de uma das galardoadas da noite, a designer Cecilie Bahnsen.

Homenagens à parte, o vestido até teria potencial pela cor e forma e adorei o facto de ter sido combinado com uns sapatos burgundy, mas muito aquém do factor WOW, ou sequer do factor sorriso. O tecido estruturado e brilhante é o principal suspeito de um crime que não sendo susceptível de pena de morte, poderá ter valido a Mary o vencedor da categoria Grr 2017 (está quase a chegar a altura mais esperada do ano!). Um valente e sonoro NÃO!
Let's start with Mary! Yes, MY MARY! The Crown Princess of Denmark accompanied by her husband Crown Prince Frederik attended last Saturday the delivery of the Kronprinsparrets Priser 2017, or Crown Prince Couple Awards. The awards are given annually to those who have distinguished themselves in Danish society in the cultural and social area.
Mary wore a blue dress by one of the night's award-winners, the danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen.
Tributes aside, the dress could have potential for its color and shape and I loved the fact that it was combined with burgundy shoes, but far short of the WOW factor, or even from the smile factor. The bright, structured fabric is the prime suspect in a crime that still is not eligible for death penalty,but may be Mary's best for the Grr 2017 category (the most anticipated time of the year is nearing!). A big and resounding NO!

Na sexta-feira passada a Duquesa de Cambridge (lembram-se dela?), acompanhada pelo Duque de Cambridge compareceu à Royal Variety Performance em Londres. Posso ser muito sincera? 1) Eu simpatizo com Kate, a sério que sim! E estou sempre à espera que ela me tire o fôlego (sim, porque gosto desse tipo de emoções fortes) mas....2) Expliquem-me, POR FAVOR. alguém me explique como é possível que esta senhora seja considerada por muitos um modelo de estilo e elegância???? EU QUERO ENTENDER!!! A Duquesa é uma mulher linda na minha opinião. Esta cor assenta-lhe muito bem, mas simplesmente este NÃO É um vestido bonito. Tem uma cor linda, o brilho não me choca, mas é um vestido com um corte feio, as mangas fazem com que a Duquesa parece uma ginasta olímpica de paralelas e aquele palmo de tule no fundo do vestido é um assassinato para qualquer par de olhos. E, acima de tudo, a nossa Kate não tem o que é preciso para fazer com que um vestido com tanta informação aliado a uma gravidez já evidente resulte. E nem falemos no cabelo, sim??
Last Friday the Duchess of Cambridge (remember her?), accompanied by the Duke of Cambridge attended the Royal Variety Performance in London. Can I be very honest here? 1) I sympathize with Kate, I really do! And I'm always waiting for her to take my breath away (yes, because I like this kind of strong emotions) but .... 2) Explain to me, PLEASE. someone explain to me how it is possible that this lady is considered by many a model of style and elegance ???? I WANT TO UNDERSTAND!!! The Duchess is a beautiful woman in my opinion. This dress color suits her very well, but simply this IS NOT a pretty dress. It has a beautiful color, all the sparkle does not shock me, but it is a dress with an ugly cut, the sleeves make the Duchess looks like an Olympic gymnast of parallels and that span of tulle in the bottom of the dress is a murder for any pair of eyes . And above all, our Kate does not have what it takes to make a dress work with so much information allied to an already obvious pregnancy. And let's not even talk about her hair, okay ??

No extremo oposto temos Letizia de Espanha na 34ª edição da entrega dos Prémios de Jornalismo Francisco Cerecedo. A Rainha espanhola esbanja confiança, atitude, personalidade. Pode ter feito os tratamentos todos de beleza que realmente fez e mais todos aqueles que as pessoas pensam que ela fez. A verdade é que Letizia é hoje uma mulher bonita e que se apresenta sempre com uma maquilhagem impecável e na maior parte das vezes, bastante elegante e bem-vestida. MAS....quando erra, erra feio. Minhas queridas, pessoalmente, adorei este vestido, acho que Letizia arrasou neste look, mas os meus 33 anos não conseguem acompanhar o raciocínio desta Rainha do século XXI, com 45 anos, que achou por bem vestir este mini vestido para um acto oficial. Letizia gosta de chocar, e eu até gosto dessa onda na maior parte das vezes. Não foi o caso desta vez! De todo!!
At the opposite extreme we have Letizia of Spain in the 34th edition of the Francisco Cerecedo Journalism Awards. The Spanish Queen lavishes confidence, attitude, personality. E depois tivemos Sofia!! Que nos trouxe uma nova tiara esta semana. Na verdade a tiara não é nova, mas sim a tiara que recebeu no dia do seu casamento, embora reinventada. A tiara de diamantes e esmeraldas surgiu sem esmeraldas e com uma base mais aberta assentando como um halo na cabeça da princesa sueca. E como é que isto pode ser um desastre, Lurdes? Já lá vamos! Pessoalmente, nunca fui particularmente fã desta tiara, mas aplaudo esta nova versão. O penteado ajudou imenso, e embora sinta falta de qualquer coisa mais substancial na tiara, gosto muito mais desta versão mais aberta. Para o Jantar Representativo que decorreu na passada Quinta-feira, Sofia escolheu repetir um vestido azul de renda que já tinha sido usado quando estava grávida de Alexander. Sofia, querida, este vestido é lindo, e ficou-te muito bem quando estavas grávida da primeira vez, mas agora, quase três meses depois do nascimento do seu segundo filho, Gabriel, devias ter optado por um vestido menos justo na zona do peito. Não há necessidade de vermos essas botões tão repuxados.

Quatro mulheres das quais gosto, com diferentes intensidades e por diferentes motivos. Quatro mulheres que são muito mais do que as roupas que as vestem, e definitivamente MUITO, MUITO MAIS, do que qualquer opinião, que QUALQUER pessoa possa ter sobre elas. Mulheres que tal como nós, têm escolhas menos felizes.

Ainda assim eu sei que elas são capazes de muito melhor. A sério meninas, solidariedade à parte, os meus olhos agradecem de futuro,sim?
Four women I like, with different intensities and for different reasons. Four women who are much more than the clothes they wear, and definitely MUCH, MUCH MORE, than any opinion, that ANY person can have over them. Women who, like us, have less happy choices.
Yet I know that they are capable of much better. Seriously girls, solidarity aside, my eyes thank you for the future, yes?
