Novo retrato da Princesa da Coroa Victoria da Suécia / New Portrait of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

A Princesa da Coroa Victoria da Suécia revelou ontem o seu novo retrato oficial durante uma cerimónia que decorreu no Salão Branco do Castelo Gripsholm. O novo retrato é um presente do Nationalmusei Vänner (Associação de Amigos do Museu Nacional) para a Statens porträttsamling (Colecção nacional de Retratos) por ocasião do 40 º aniversário da Princesa da Coroa.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden unveiled her new official portrait yesterday during a ceremony in the White Hall of Gripsholm Castle. The new portrait is a gift from the Nationalmusei Vänner (Association of Friends of the National Museum) to the Statens Porträttsamling (National Portrait Collection) on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Crown Princess.

Kronprinsessan avtäcker ett porträtt vid en ceremoni på Gripsholms slott. Konstnär är fotograf Thron Ullberg som porträtterat Kronprinsessan i Gustav III:s paviljong på Haga. Porträttet av Kronprinsessan ingår i Statens porträttsamling. O novo retrato a preto e branco da autoria do fotógrafo Thron Ullberg mostra Victoria a posar no Pavilhão Gustav III em Haga. Esta obra faz agora parte da Colecção Nacional de Retratos, que é somente a mais antiga galeria nacional de retratos do mundo, contando com mais de 5.000 peças, em exibição no Castelo de Gripsholm.

The new black-and-white portrait by photographer Thron Ullberg shows Victoria posing at the Gustav III Pavilion in Haga. This work is now part of the National Portrait Collection, which is only the oldest national gallery of portraits in the world, with more than 5,000 pieces, on show at Gripsholm Castle.

Acho que o retrato encarna muito bem a personalidade de Victoria. Adoro o facto da Princesa não estar a olhar para a câmara. 

Mas aqui entre nós: quando fizerem um retrato com vestido longo e tiara que inclua Daniel e os pequenos, eu sou a primeira a bater palmas!

I think the portrait embodies Victoria's personality very well. I love the fact that the Princess is not looking at the camera.

But here among us: when you do a portrait in a long dress and tiara that includes Daniel and the little kids, I am the first to clap!
