No passado dia 21 o Príncipe da Coroa Haakon e a Princesa da Coroa Mette-Marit da Noruega participaram em vários memoriais por ocasião do ataques em Oslo e Utøya a 22 de Julho de 2011.

O casal depositou uma coroa de flores numa cerimónia memorial, onde os nomes dos 77 mortes foram lidos em voz alta. Também presentes a Primeira-Ministra Erna Solderg e Mani Hussaini, Chefe da Liga da Juventude dos Trabalhadores. Seguiu-se um serviço religioso na Catedral de Oslo e uma cerimónia na ilha de Utøya.
The couple laid a wreath at a memorial ceremony, where the names of the 77 deaths were read aloud. Also present the Prime Minister Erna Solderg and Mani Hussaini, head of the Workers' Youth League. This was followed by a religious service in Oslo Cathedral and a ceremony at Utøya island.


Os atentados de 22 de Julho de 2011 na Noruega começaram com uma explosão na zona de edifícios governamentais da capital, Oslo, seguido de um tiroteio ocorrido poucas horas depois, na ilha de Utøya (no lago Tyrifjorden, Buskerud). Os atentados, perpetrados por um activista de extrema-direita e fundamentalista cristão resultaram em pelo menos 77 jovens integrantes do partido trabalhista mortos (69 em Utoya e 8 em Oslo).
Recorde-se que na altura, a corte real norueguesa fez saber que um meio-irmão da princesa Mette-Marit foi uma das vítimas mortais. 
The attacks of July 22, 2011 in Norway began with an explosion in the area of ​​government buildings in the capital, Oslo, followed by a shooting occurred a few hours later on the island of Utøya (at Lake Tyrifjorden, Buskerud). The attacks, perpetrated by a far-right activist and Christian fundamentalist resulted in  77 dead young members of the Workers party (69 in Utoya and 8 in Oslo).
I recall that at the time, the Norwegian royal court confirmed that Princess Mette-Marit  half-brother was one of the fatalities.

According to the royal house spokesman at that time,  Marianne Hagen, the Princess's stepbrother was Trond Berntsen. He was a police, but found himself doing private security on the island of Utøya, where a meeting with 600-700 young Norwegian Labour Party members took place.
