O título da mensagem só faz sentido em português...Os Duques de Cambridge no passado Domingo interromperam o seu trabalho e a licença de maternidade para assistirem às provas finais do America's Cup World Series em Portsmouth.
The message title only makes sense in Portuguese ... The Dukes of Cambridge last Sunday stopped their work and maternity leave to attend the finals of the America's Cup World Series in Portsmouth.

O nome da prova não se refere à América continente mas sim ao nome de uma embarcação.
The name of the race does not refer to the Americacontinent but rather the name of a boat.

A Duquesa compareceu a este evento na qualidade de Patrona de 1851 Trust, uma organização que tenta inspirar as gerações mais novas na arte da vela, da indústria marítima, promovendo educação, competências e treino em ambiente marítimo.
The Duchess attended this event as Royal Patron of 1851 Trust, an organization that tries to inspire the younger generations through sailing, the maritime industry, promoting education, skills and training in marine environment.

A prova contou com a participação de vários países, como o Reino Unido, Estados Unidos, Japão, Nova Zelândia, França e Suécia.
The event had the participation of several countries, like the UK, the US, Japan, New Zealand, France and Sweden.

O casal contava assistir à Prova da equipa britânica Land Rover BAR, liderada pelo conhecido velejador Ben Ainslie, que também apoia a 1851 Trust.
The couple was there also to support the British Land Rover BAR team, led by the well-known sailor Ben Ainslie, who also supports the 1851 Trust.


A corrida acabou por ser cancelada devido ao mau tempo, mas William e Kate ficaram pelas instalações da Base Naval para falarem com os participantes e equipas e trocarem algumas experiências.
The race was eventually canceled due to bad weather, but William and Kate toured on the Naval Base facilities to talk to the participants and teams and exchange some experiences.

A Duquesa experimentou inclusive um simulador de vela.

O casal também acabou por entregar medalhas à equipa britânica que foram os grandes vencedores da Prova, apesar do segundo dia de prova ter sido cancelado.
The couple also turned out to deliver medals to the British team, the big winners of the race, although the second day of the event has been canceled.

Para não nos esquecer-mos que estávamos presente num evento naútico, Kate escolheu o seu uniforme temático para eventos desportivos, onde o azul escuro predomina e ONDE NÃO PODEM FALTAR um top às riscas, um blazer azul-escuro e os seus wedges! Estes dois últimos usados para a entrega de medalhas...
In case we might be forgotten we were present at a sailing event, Kate gave us a help on her theme uniform for sporting events, where the dark blue predominates and where IT CAN'T BE MISSED a striped top, a dark blue blazer and her wedges shoes! These last two used for the delivery of medals!
