Este ano tivemos a oportunidade de ver, mais ou menos, oficialmente várias fotografias da família do Principe da Coroa da Dinamarca durante o seu período de férias.
Frederik e Mary, juntamente com os seus quatro filhos passaram férias no Palácio de Grasten, residência de verão da família real dinamarquesa.
This year we had the opportunity to see, more or less officially several family pictures of the Danish Crown Prince Couple during their vacations.
Frederik and Mary, along with their four children stayed in Grasten Palace, summer residence of the Danish royal family.

Diz a lenta que foi neste lugar que Hans Christian Andersen escreveu "A Pequena Vendedora de Fósforos" durante a sua visita em 1845. Quase 100 anos depois, o edifício foi adquirido pelo Estado e tornou-se em 1935 residência de Verão da Coroa, Frederik e Ingrid, pais da actual monarca, adoravam este local. Tanto que convidavam frequentemente vários amigos para as férias. Aqui uma fotografia de 1954 dos monarcas dinamarqueses com as suas filhas acompanhados pela Rainha Juliana da Holanda, o Príncipe Bernahard e as suas quatro filhas: Beatrix, Margriet, Christina e Irene.
The legend says it was here that Hans Christian Andersen wrote "The Little Match Girl" during his visit in 1845. Nearly 100 years later, the building was purchased by the state and became in 1935 the summer residence of the Crown, Frederik and Ingrid, parents of the current monarch, loved this place. So much so that they often invited several friends for the holidays. Here a picture from 1954 of the Danish monarchs with their daughters accompanied by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, the dutch Prince Consort Bernahard and their four daughters: Beatrix, Margriet, Christina and Irene.
Margrethe e Henrik estiveram vários dias na Gronelândia para o tour de Verão, e durante esse período a família dos Príncipes da Coroa mantiveram-se pela Dinamarca, entretidos entre passeios a cavalo, de bicicleta e visitas à Legolândia para alegria dos pequenos.
Margrethe and Henrik were several days in Greenland for the summer tour, during which time the family of the Crown Princes remained by Denmark, entertained between horseback riding, cycling and visits to Legoland, such a treat for the little ones.

A primeira aparição foi durante uma Parada a Cavalo que tem lugar todos anos em Grasten. A família saiu do Palácio para saudar os participantes.
The first appearance was during a Horse parade that takes place every year in Grasten. The family left the Palace to greet the participants.


A minha foto favorita? Fácil!! Jo perfeitamente recuperada depois de partir o braço num acidente a cavalo, estava visivelmente entusiasmada com o vislumbre de mais cavalos. E não pareceu de todo assustada por estar perto deles.
My favorite photo? Easy !! Jo fully recovered after breaking her arm in a riding accident, she was visibly excited about the glimpse of more horses. And it didn't seem at all scared to be near them.


Dias depois, já com Margrethe e Henrik em acção, a família assistiu como é hábito à Mudança da Guarda.
Days later, already with Margrethe and Henrik at work, the family watched as always the Changing of the Guard.

Devo dizer que Daisy deve ser das poucas Rainhas que pode apresentar-se com um look destes e estar absolutamente fantástica.
I must say that Daisy should be the only Queen who may present us such look and be absolutely fantastic on it.

Finalmente no Sábado, o momento porque todos aguardávamos: a Sessão fotográfica de Verão.
Finally on Saturday, the moment we all waited for: the summer photo shoot.

Uma pequena multidão que se adivinhava muito maior, porque foram notórias as ausências da Princesa Benedikte, irmã de Margrethe, e principalmente da família do Príncipe Joachim, cuja presença esteve sempre confirmada no calendário oficial.
A small crowd that we had guessed much larger, because of the notable absences of Princess Benedikte, Margrethe'sister and mainly of Prince Joachim's family, whose presence has always been confirmed in the official calendar.

Ainda assim às habituais caras juntaram-se a Princesa Alexandra Sayn-Wittgenstein, Alix para os amigos, filha mais velha da Princesa Benedikte, o seu marido o Conde Jefferson  von Pfeil un Klein-Ellguth e os seus dois filhos o Conde Richard e a Condessa Ingrid que estiveram com a família da coroa estas semanas em Grasten.
Yet the royal gang was joined by Princess Alexandra Sayn-Wittgenstein, Alix to friends, eldest daughter of Princess Benedikte, her husband Count Jefferson von Pfeil un-Ellguth Klein and their two children Count Richard and Countess Ingrid who had been with the crown family these weeks in Grasten.

A sessão fotográfica foi mais "aborrecida" do que é costume. A iminência de chuva não deu azo para as habituais brincadeiras dos mais pequenos.
The photo shoot was more "boring" than usual. The imminence of rain did not let the children play as usual.

Ainda assim é sempre fantástico ver quão crescidos estão os filhos de Fred e Mary.
Yet it is always great to see how grown are Fred and Mary children.

Christian cada vez mais parecido com o pai. Em postura e expressões.
Christian more and more like his father. In posture and expressions.

Bella mais calma, a transformar-se numa mulherzinha. Um aplauso também para a coordenação de cores entre a mamã e o papá.
Bella more quite, becoming a young women. Applause also for the color coordination between mum and dad.

Vincent cada vez mais amoroso e outro mini-Fred. Atenção com este senhor de futuro.
Vincent each time more adorable and another mini-Fred. Attention to this young chap in the future.

Jo a provar que não é qualquer braço partido que a faz parar! Uma verdadeira força da Natureza!
Jo showing us that it's not any broken arm that makes her stop! A true force of nature!


Tive pena de as crianças de Joachim e Marie não se juntarem à festa. Sempre achei que estes primos conviviam pouco!
Felt sorry for Joachim and Marie children did not join the party. I always thought these little cousins play very little together.
