O casal visitou o Gabinete do Lixo, construído com lixo que têm sido recolhidos das praias da região. Um dos grandes problemas ambientais é agora transformado em exemplo e factor impulsionador para o aumento de ofertas de lazer de Longyearbyen. O Gabinete é um dos pontos turísticos mais populares dos habitantes da região.
The couple visited the Trash Cabine, built with garbage that have been collected from the region beaches. One of the major environmental problems is now turned into example and a booster factor for the increase in Longyearbyen's leisure offerings. The Cabine is one of the most popular attractions of the region's local habitants.

No segundo dia, o casal viajou a bordo do Lance cuja pesquisa tenta prever como se irão desenvolver as condições no Árctico num futuro próximo. O navio consegue chegar a zonas que normalmente são apenas acessiveis por helicóptero.
On the second day, the couple traveled aboard the Lance whose research attempts to predict how the ambiental conditions will develop in the Arctic on a near future. The ship can reach areas that are usually only accessible by helicopter.

De volta a Noruega, a Princesa da Coroa trocou as roupas quentes e impermeáveis por umas vestes mais modernas e assistiu à abertura da exposição do fotografo Tom Sandberg, falecido em 2014, na Casa do Artista em Oslo.
Back in Norway, the Crown Princess exchanged warm and waterproof clothing for more modern clothes and attended the opening of the exhibition from the photographer Tom Sandberg, who died in 2014, at the Artist's House in Oslo.

Em outras notícias, segundo algumas fontes, o Príncipe Nikolaos e a Princesa Tatiana da Grécia e Dinamarca (née Tatiana Blatnik) estão à espera do primeiro filho. Não é a primeira vez que esta noticia é avançada. Ainda teremos que aguardar por confirmações oficiais, que poderão não chegar.
In other news, according some sources, Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark (née Tatiana Blatnik), are expecting their first child. It´s not the first time we heard such rumor. We still have to wait for official confirmation, which might never come.
Nikolaos. 45 anos, é o terceiro filho dos Reis da Grécia, e sobrinho da Rainha Sofia de Espanha e Margrethe II da Dinamarca, e o casal está casado desde 2010.
Nikolaos, 45, is the third child of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, and nephew of Queen Sofia of Spain and Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The couple married in 2010.
