Foi em grande estilo que alguns membros da família real sueca compareceram a um jantar beneficente a favor da World Childhood Foundation. 

Was in style that some members of the Swedish royal family attended a charity dinner for the World Childhood Foundation.

A Rainha Sílvia, a Princesa da Coroa Victoria acompanhada pelo Príncipe Daniel, a Princesa Madeleine e o seu marido Chris O'Neill foram os anfitriões de uma noite dedicada a uma causa muito especial para a Rainha Silvia e para a Princesa Madeleine, que trabalha activamente nesta instituição em Nova York.

Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria followed by Prince Daniel, Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O'Neill were the hosts at a night dedicated to a very special cause for Queen Silvia and Princess Madeleine, who actively works on this institution in New York.

Estas são as palavras da WCF que servem de mote para a sua missão. A WCF trabalha no sentido de evitar o abuso e exploração das crianças por todo o mundo. Apoia e implementa mais de 100 projectos por todo o mundo auxiliando crianças em risco, ou que foram vítimas de abuso, crianças que precisem de cuidados especiais, sem-abrigo e famílias em risco.

These are the words of WCF that serve as the motto for its mission. The WCF works to prevent abuse and exploitation of children around the world. Supports and implements over 100 projects throughout the world helping children at risk, or who have been victims of abuse, children who need special care, homeless and at-risk families.

O trabalho desta fundação teve como base a Convenção das Nações Unidas para os Direitos da Criança e é politica e religiosamente imparcial. O grande lema da WCF é que toda e qualquer criança não deve ser exposta a nenhum ambiente perigoso ou traumático. Em vez disso devem ser oferecidas todas as oportunidades para a criança crescer com memórias de uma infância segura e feliz. 

A Rainha Silvia fundou em 1999 esta instituição tornando-se uma das suas causas mais queridas.

The work of this foundation was based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and is politically and religiously neutral. The great motto of WCF is that any child should not be exposed to any danger or traumatic environment. Instead  they should be afforded with every opportunity for the child to grow up with memories of a safe and happy childhood. 

Queen Silvia founded in 1999 this institution became one of his most cherished causes.

A sua filha mais nova, a Princesa Madeleine seguiu-lhe os passos e tem sido o seu braço direito na Fundação, nos escritórios nos Estados Unidos.

Her younger daughter, Princess Madeleine followed in her footsteps and has been her right arm in the Foundation, at USA officers.

A filha mais nova dos Reis da Suécia tem trabalhado activamente na Fundação e são muito frequentes as vezes em que usa as redes sociais para promover o trabalho desenvolvido pela Childhood.

The youngest daughter of the Kings of Sweden has been active in the Foundation and she uses very often the social networks to promote the work of Childhood.

A importância que dá a esta instituição é tão grande que no dia do seu casamento Madeleine entrou na Capela Real ao som de um coro de crianças da WCF da Suécia que formando duas filas formaram um corredor para a entrada da noiva.

The importance given to this institution is so great that on the day of her wedding Madeleine entered in the Chapel Royal at the sound of a choir of WCF's children from Sweden who formed two rows forming a corridor to the entrance of the bride.

Na altura do seu casamento e do nascimento da Princesa Leonore, Madeleine e Chris solicitaram que em vez de prendas, os interessados considerassem a possibilidade de fazer uma doação para a WCF.

At the time of their marriage and the birth of Princess Leonore, Madeleine and Chris asked that instead of gifts, people consider the possibility of making a donation to the WCF.

Recentemente Madeleine deu a cara pela campanha Thank You da WCF que visa chamar a atenção para o abuso sexual de crianças. A ideia é muito simples: dedicar uma música como sinal de agradecimento para alguém especial. A princesa explica como fazer. 

E agradeceu à sua mãe com a mensagem: "Obrigada mamma, por sempre me apoiares".

Madeleine recently gave her face for the WCF Thank You  campaign that aims to draw attention to the sexual abuse of children. The idea is very simple: dedicate a song as a sign of appreciation for someone special. The princess explains how. 

And thanked her mother with the message: "Thank you mamma, for me always support me".

Madeleine e Chris são frequentemente vistos com a bracelete da fundação que pode ser adquirida aqui, mostrando o seu empenho à causa nas coisas mais simples.

Madeleine and Chris are often seen with the foundation's bracelet that can be purchased here, showing their commitment to the cause even in the simplest things.
