Viva El Rey Felipe VI!!!

Bem, o que poderei dizer? Espanha ganhou um novo Rei! E eu estou completamente rendida aos seus valores e atitude!

Hoje foi o dia da Proclamação oficial do novo Rei de Espanha. Felipe de Bourbon e Grécia, Príncipe das Astúrias, foi proclamado Rei perante as Cortes Generales sobre o nome de Felipe VI.

Today was the day of the official proclamation of the new King of Spain. Felipe of Bourbon and Greece, Prince of Asturias, was proclaimed King before the Cortes Generales under the name of Felipe VI. 

Logo de manhã as primeiras mudanças eram visíveis. O site oficial da Casa Real espanhola foi totalmente renovado. Foram incluídos os perfis da nova Princesa das Astúrias e da Infanta Sofia e retirados os perfis da Infanta Elena e da Infanta Cristina.

Outra mudança evidente foi o novo estandarte real com o brasão do novo Rei. O fundo carmim veio substituir o fundo azul.

O dia começou com uma cerimónia militar no Palácio da Zarzuela, na qual o Rei Juan Carlos I colocou a faixa vermelha de Comandante Supremo das Forças Armadas Espanholas em seu filho.

Vestido com o Uniforme de Gala do Exército de Terra, Felipe apareceu deslumbrante pare receber o último símbolo que lhe faltava no uniforme.

De seguida a família real dirigiu-se para o Congresso onde teria lugar a Cerimónia de Proclamação.

Á saída da Zarzuela foram visiveis alguns gestos de carinho entre os novos Reis e as filhas.

O discurso do Rei foi a meu ver sublime. Emocionado, mas firme o novo Rei não deixou de passar a sua imagem de gratidão e admiração pelo trabalho realizado pelos seus antecessores e pais, D. Juan Carlos e D. Sofia. Aliás, a Rainha Sofia foi aplaudida de pé por duas vezes durante a cerimónia de Proclamação. Juan Carlos não esteve presente, como anunciado.

Penso que nunca conseguirei expressar por palavras o discurso de Felipe VI. Fluente, contundente, Felipe VI tocou em vários pontos que considera importantes de serem alvo de preocupação do Estado e da população em geral: a ciência, a inovação, as novas tecnologias, o meio ambiente e a igualdade foram citados.

A crise com todas as dificuldades que tem causado, também deve ser encarada como uma oportunidade para Espanha crescer. Porque os tempos mudam, e a adaptação é uma necessidade. Todas as pessoas, todos os países, todas as culturas são projectos inacabados. O crescimento e adaptação têm que ser constantes. E será seu papel como Rei, garantir de forma democrática e constitucional, mas também humilde, generosa, ética e comprometida, que essa constante adaptação se faça. Felipe referiu que acredita e sonha com uma Espanha Grande e renovada, que olhe para trás com orgulho do que foi mas principalmente do que ainda poderá vir a ser.

The crisis with all the difficulties it has caused, should also be seen as an opportunity to grow in Spain. Because times change, and adaptation is a necessity. And in his role as King, Felipe wants to ensure on a democratic and constitutional form, but also humble, generous, ethical and committed, this adaptation could be done. Felipe said he believes and dreams of a renewed and glorious Spain, a nation that looks back with pride but that has even more pride of what it might still be on the future.

A questão separatista não foi esquecida. Felipe acredita da Unidade da Coroa espanhola. Mas salienta que Unidade não é a mesma coisa que Uniformidade. E que é essa diversidade que tanto ama e respeita em Espanha que faz parte do que é para si "sentir-se espanhol". Durante séculos Espanha sempre foi um país diverso a vários níveis. Essa grande variedade de tradições, história e culturas enriquecem e orgulham Espanha. A língua, segundo Felipe, a elementar forma de comunicação, deve ser encarada como isso mesmo: meio de diálogo respeitoso e não razão de conflito. No seu discurso o Rei não deixou de referir todos aqueles que morreram em Espanha vítimas de terrorismo.

Felipe referiu ainda que a simpatia e respeito por um novo monarca, não é instruída como o titulo de Rei, mas sim é conquistada ao longo do tempo.

Citando Cervantes e finalizando o seu longo discurso Felipe disse: " Um homem, não é mais do que o outro, a não ser que faça mais do que o outro". E isso é que Felipe que ser: um chefe de estado leal, trabalhador, disposto a ouvir e a defender os interesses gerais do país. E a fazer realmente a diferença, inspirando homens e mulheres da sua geração. Um Rei de quem os espanhóis se possam orgulhar. Um líder, que serve acima de tudo!

Felipe also said that the sympathy and respect for a new monarch is not established as the King's title, but is earned over time.

Citing Cervantes and ending his long speech Felipe said: "One man is no more than another, unless he does more than the another." And that is what Felipe wants to be: a head of state loyal, hardworking, willing to listen and to defend the general interests of the country. And to really make a difference, inspiring men and women of his generation. A King from whom the Spanish coul be proud. A leader who serves above everything!

Após a saída do Congresso, o Rei Felipe VI e a Rainha Letizia, juntamente com as filhas assistiram a uma parada militar, e percorreram se seguida as ruas em direcção ao Palácio Real. Centenas de pessoas aclamaram o novo Rei que viajou de pé num carro aberto, escoltado pela Guarda Real. Sentada ao seu lado, a Rainha Letizia. No carro atrás, que ostentava o brasão das Astúrias, seguia a Princesa Leonor e a Infanta Sofia.

Os novos Reis recebem em recepção cerca de 2000 pessoas entre representantes do Governo, Instituições Civis, Igreja e Patronatos. A todos eles os Reis cumprimentaram mão a mão.

Foi um dia de mudança em Espanha. Este Rei será diferente. É um Rei que cita Cervantes no seu primeiro discurso enquanto Rei. É um Rei muito parecido com a sua mãe. Amável, familiar, inteligente com uma grande fortaleza moral e ética. Tem ao seu lado uma mulher que vai ter muito a provar enquanto Rainha, mas cujo profissionalismo ninguém pode criticar.

It was a day of change in Spain. This King will be different. It is a King who quotes Cervantes in his first speech as king is a king much like his mother.
