Depois de uma semana marcada pela abdicação do Rei Juan Carlos de Espanha, ficam aqui algumas referências a eventos importantes que tiveram lugar no final da semana e durante o fim-de-semana.

After a week marked by the abdication of King Juan Carlos of Spain, here are some references to important events that took place at the end of the week and on the last weekend.

Comemorações do 70º aniversário do Dia D / -Day 70th Anniversary

O aniversário do 70º aniversário do desembarque das tropas aliadas na Normandia, durante a segunda grande guerra foi um ocasião muito especial e que, não me canso de referir, não deve ser encarada de ânimo leve nem deve ser esquecida. A ocasião reuniu na Normandia vários chefes de estado mundiais. Em representação das monarquias: Reino Unido, Dinamarca, Holanda, Bélgica, Noruega e Luxemburgo enviaram representantes de peso.

The 70th birthday anniversary of the landing of the Allied troops in Normandy during the Second World War was a very special occasion and I will never get tired of mention, that should not be taken lightly and should not be forgoten. The occasion brought together in Normandy several heads of state worldwide. On behalf of monarchies: the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Luxembourg sent their higher representatives.

Dia das Fuerzas Armada / Fuerzas Armadas Day

Em Espanha, o Rei Juan Carlos acompanhado pela Rainha Sofia e pelo Príncipe e pela Princesa das Astúrias presidiram às celebrações nacionais do Dia das Forças Armadas. Foi o primeiro evento conjunto dos actuais e futuros Reis de Espanha após ao anúncio da abdicação. Foi também o último Dia das Fuerzas Armadas, que Juan Carlos compareceu como Rei.

In Spain, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia accompanied by the Prince and the Princess of Asturias attended the national day celebrations of the Armed Forces. It was the first join event of the current and  the future kings of Spain after the announcement of the abdication. It was also the last Fuerzas Armadas Day, Juan Carlos attended as King.

De seguida teve lugar uma recepção no Palácio Real.

Baptizado da Princesa Leonore da Suécia/ Christening of Princess Leonore of Sweden

E obviamente que no fim-de-semana de eventos solenes não poderia faltar mais um fantástico baptizado sueco. É espantoso como esta família consegue superar-se em termos de doçura a cada bebé que nasce.

No 1º aniversário de casamento da Princesa Madeleine e Christopher O'Neil, Leonore Lilian Maria recebeu o seu primeiro sacramento numa cerimónia que teve lugar na Capela do Palácio Drottningholm.

And obviously on a weekend full of solemn events it could not miss another fantastic Swedish royal christening. It's amazing how this family manages to overcome in terms of sweetness everytime a baby is born. 

On the 1st wedding anniversary of Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill, Leonore Lilian Maria received her first sacrament in a ceremony held in the Chapel of the Drottningholm Palace.

A pequena princesa usou o mesmo vestido que a prima Estelle usou no seu baptizado e que antes dela outros membros da família real sueca usaram neste dia. E claro está houve o momento faixa-real-para-bebé, que só temos o privilégio de ver na Suécia. O avô da Princesa, o Rei Carl Gustav agraciou Leonore com a Ordem do Serafim, a mais alta distinção sueca.

The little princess wore the same lace christening gown as her cousin Princess Estelle wore before her as well as other members of the Swedish royal family previously. And of course there was the royal-baby-sashe-moment, that we only have the privilege of seeing in Sweden. The Princess's grandfather, King Carl Gustav , gave to Leonore the Order of the Seraphim, the highest Swedish distinction.

Ora bem, em relação a moda, podemos dizer que as damas suecas sabem encher de sentimentalismo as suas escolhas. Silvia, Victoria e Madeleine escolheram tons muito primaveris e cheios de detalhes para este momento familiar.

Well, for fashion, we can say that the Swedish ladies know how to full fill of sentimentality their fashion choices. Silvia, Victoria and Madeleine chose spring colors with lots of details for this family time.

A Rainha Silvia optou por um vestido de renda Valentino em azul água que combinou com acessórios nude um belo chapéu. Um cor perfeita para a a Rainha dos suecos.

Queen Silvia chose a Valentino lace dress in blue water combined with nude accessories and a beautiful hat. A perfect color for the Queen of the Swedes.

Madeleine, mãe de Leonore escolheu mais uma romântica criação de Valentino (autor do seu vestido de noiva há um ano atrás) em tons rosa.  Um original fascinator completou o look que a meu ver deixou muito a desejar. O comprimento e forma do vestido em nada favoreceram Madeleine.

Madeleine, Leonore's mum chose another romantic creation of Valentino (author of her wedding dress a year ago) in pink tones. A unique fascinator completed the look that was not an happy choice. The length and shape of the dress didn't favorMadeleine at all.

Quem me arrebatou o coração foi mesmo Victoria nesta criação Dolce & Gabanna. Corte perfeito. Bastante feminino e cheio de pormenores românticos. Um dos melhores looks do ano para a nossa Vicky!

Who snatched my heart was really Victoria with this dress by Dolce & Gabanna. Perfect cut. Quite feminine and full of romantic details. One of the best looks of the year for our Vicky!

No entanto também a nostalgia serviu de inspiração para as escolhas de moda das princesas suecas. Além de Silvia e Madeleine terem optado por modelos muito semelhantes Valentino, também Victoria fez de certa forma uma tributo à sua mãe ao escolher uma peça para o cabelo muito semelhante à usada pela Rainha Silvia no Baptizado do Príncipe Carl Philip em 1979. A pequena Estelle que esteve super atenta na sua pequena cadeira durante a cerimónia (até determinada altura) usou um vestido branco e bege usado pela Princesa Victoria em 1980.

However we also can see that nostalgia has inspired the fashion choices of the Swedish princesses. Apart from Silvia and Madeleine have opted for very similar models from Valentino, Victoria also made ​​somewhat a tribute to her mother by choosing a hairpiece very similar to the one used by Queen Silvia at the Christening of Prince Carl Philip in 1979. Little Estelle that was super attentive in her small chair during the ceremony (up to some point) wore a white and beige dress worn by Princess Victoria in 1980.
