Dia Nacional do Luxemburgo / Luxembourg National Day

Após o nascimento da Princesa Amalia de Nassau na passada semana, as festividades no Luxemburgo continuam com as celebrações do Dia Nacional.

After the birth of Princess Amalia of Nassau last week, the festivities in Luxembourg continue with the National Day celebrations. 

Como é habitual a família ducal saiu à rua para as festividades que começaram de véspera.

As usual the grand ducal family went out to the street for the festivities that began the day before.

No domingo o Grã-Duque Henri e a Grã-Duquesa Maria Teresa visitaram Rosport, uma pequena localidade com cerca de 650 cidadãos. Durante a visita os soberanos tiveram a oportunidade de passear pela cidade e conversar com vários habitantes e visitar alguns dos pontos mais emblemáticos.

On Sunday the Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa visited Rosport, a small town of about 650 people. During the visit, the sovereign couple had the opportunity to wander around the city and talk to various people and visit some of the most iconic spots.

Enquanto isso o Grã-Duque Hereditário Guillaume e a Grã-Duquesa Hereditária Stephanie visitaram como costume a segunda maior cidade do Grã-Ducado. Após a chegada a Esch-sur-Alzette, o casal foi recebido na Place de la Résistance onde depositaram uma coroa de flores no Memorial de Guerra. O casal assistiu posteriormente a uma parada militar.

Meanwhile the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and the Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie visited as usual the second largest city of the Grand Duchy. Upon their arrival at Esch-sur-Alzette, the couple was greeted at the Place de la Résistance where placed a wreath crown at the War Memorial. Later the couple  attended a military parade.

Stephanie escolheu um conjunto azul-marinho para a ocasião. Um vestido Weill que combinou com um blazer da mesma marca francesa. Pessoalmente acho que foi um conjunto bem sucedido.

Stephanie chose a navy blue ensemble for the occasion. A Weill dress that she combined with a blazer of the same French brand. Personally I think it was a quite successful outfit.

A família assistiu durante a noite à parada e celebração com fogo de artificio que marca a véspera do Dia Nacional.

The family watched the parade at night and celebration with fireworks marking the eve of National Day.

Ontem, tiveram lugar as celebrações mais esperadas do feriado nacional.

Este ano pela primeira vez as celebrações não começaram com a tradicional Te Deum na Catedral de Notre-Dame. Em vez disso, Henri, Maria Teresa, Guillaume, Stephanie, Louis e Sébastian compareceram ao Grand Théâtre onde foram recebidos pelo Presidente da Câmara dos Deputados. Durante esta cerimónia foram atribuídas distinções a vários cidadãos do Luxemburgo.

Yesterday took place the most anticipated celebrations of the national holiday. 

This year for the first time the celebrations did not begin with the traditional Te Deum at Notre-Dame. Instead, Henri, Maria Teresa, Guillaume, Stephanie, Louis and Sébastien attended the Grand Theatre where they were received by the President of the Chamber of Deputies. During this ceremony various distinctions were conferred on citizens of Luxembourg.

Mais tarde, os soberanos acompanhados pelo Príncipe Guillaume e pela Princesa Stephanie assistiram à tradicional Parada Militar do Dia Nacional, que inclui representantes da polícia, corpo de bombeiros e serviços de emergência.

Later, the sovereignc couple accompanied by Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie attended the traditional National Day Military Parade which includes representatives of police, fire and emergency services.

Enquanto os homens substituíram os seus fatos por uniformes militares, Maria Teresa e Stephanie optaram por manter a mesma roupa, adicionando alguns acessórios.

Maria Teresa estava bastante elegante num conjunto de vestido e casaco azul marinho que combinou com acessórios nude. Já a Grã-Duquesa Hereditária Stephanie optou por um visual colorido, no qual se destacava o casaco Libélula que apesar de bonito não favoreceu a princesa na zona da cintura. A Princesa completo o visual com um simples vestido branco e acessórios rosa escuro.

While men replaced their morning suits by military uniforms, Maria Teresa and Stephanie opted to keep the same clothes, adding some accessories. 

Maria Teresa was quite elegant in a set of dress and navy blue coat combined with nude accessories. For another hand the Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie opted for a colorful look, in which stood the Libélula pink coat that although cute did not favor the princess at the waist. The Princess complete the look with a simple white dress and dark pink accessories.

Depois da parada militar a família ducal reuniu-se na Igreja para a tradicional Te Deum. Nesta altura, os Príncipes Félix, Louis e Sébastian juntaram-se novamente ao resto da família.

After the parade the ducal family gathered in the church for the traditional Te Deum. At this point, the Princes Felix, Louis and Sébastien joined again the rest of the family.

Após mais uma troca de roupa, a Grã Duquesa Maria Teresa voltou a repetir o conjunto fuscia Armani que usou no dia do casamento do Príncipe Félix. Stephanie também repetiu um casaco vermelho usado também num casamento o ano passado. Posso dizer que apesar das formas não serem as melhores gostei bastante desta combinação de vermelho e nude na futura Grã-Duquesa do Luxemburgo.

After another change of clothes, the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore again the fuscia Armani  setshe wore on the wedding day of Prince Felix. Stephanie also repeated a red coat also used at a wedding last year. I can say that despite the shapes weren't the ideal I quite enjoyed this combination of red and nude ion the future Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.

Finalmente no culminar de um dia de celebrações uma Recepção de Gala oferecida pelos Grã-Duques, ao qual também compareceram além dos herdeiro Guillaume e Stephanie, os Príncipes Louis e Sébastien (Félix deve ter ficado em casa com a pequena Amalia e a esposa, Claire).

Finally on the culmination of a day of celebrations, a Gala Reception offered by the Grand Dukes, which also appeared beyond the heir couple Guillaume and Stephanie, Princes Louis and Sébastien (Felix should have stayed home with the little Amalia and his wife, Claire) .

Enquanto todos os homens apresentavam orgulhosamente as insignias amarelas da Ordem do Leão Dourado da Casa de Nassau, as damas luxemburguesas ostentaram orgulhosamente belos vestidos e preciosas jóias.

While all men proudly showed the yellow insignia of the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau, the Luxembourg ladies proudly sported beautiful gowns and precious jewels.

Maria Teresa optou um vestido favorito: este Elie Saab azul (o estilista de eleição para galas, casamentos e outros eventos glamourosos no Luxemburgo) é a escolha perfeita para combinar com a sua tiara de águas marinhas,anteriormente falada aqui, mas que quase não conseguimos ver na fotografia.

Por sua vez Stephanie apareceu deslumbrante neste vestido de noite negro com forro nude, que encontrei aqui. A completar o look um mistério: a pequena tiara que a Princesa usou não é parecida a nenhuma outra da coleção Luxemburguesa (pelo menos do que conheço). As fotografias também não ajudam, mas parece que esta peça poderá ser uma prenda de casamento, uma jóia da família Lannoy (relembro de Stephaníe é condessa de nascimento) ou ainda uma peça pouco conhecida dos Cofres Nassau.

Maria Teresa chose a favorite dress: this blue Elie Saab (the designer of choice for galas, weddings and other glamorous events in Luxembourg) is the perfect choice to match with her aquamarine tiara previously spoken here, but that we almost miss on the picture. 

Meanwhile Stephanie appeared in this stunning black evening dress with nude lining, I did find here . To complete the look a mystery: a small tiara that the Princess wore is not similar to any other pieces from the jewel collection of Luxembourg (at least from what I know). The photos do not help, but it seems that this tiny tiara can be a wedding gift, a jewel of the Lannoy family (recall Stephanie is a Countess by birth) or a little known tiara from the Nassau Royal Vault.
