De volta para mais uma rubrica de Esplendor Real. Na ausência de noticias de bebés no Grã-Ducado do Luxemburgo ( a Princesa Claire está grávida, mas até à data ainda não há qualquer fotografia, e a Grã-Duquesa Hereditária Stephanie, ainda não dá sinais de haver herdeiro a caminho) resta-nos falar de jóias.

Recentemente os soberanos do Luxemburgo realizaram uma viagem de Estado à Polónia, na qual a Grã-Duquesa retirou do cofre algumas das peças menos usadas do Grã-Ducado.

Back for another Royal Splendor. In the absence of news of babies in the Great Duchy of Luxembourg (Princess Claire is pregnant, but until now there is still no pictures, and the Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, is not yet showing signs of having an heir on the way), so we can only talk about jewelry. 

Recently the sovereign couple of Luxembourg held a State visit to Poland, in which the Grand Duchess withdrew the vault some of the less used jewels of the Grand Duchy.

Luxembourg Aquamarine Bandeau 

Este conjunto em estilo art-deco é composto por águas-marinhas e diamantes. Dele fazem parte uma tiara bandeau (originalmente derivada de uma pulseira), um par de brincos e um colar com águas marinhas rectangulares.

O conjunto foi feito, não se sabe bem quanto, para a Grã-Duquesa Joséphine-Charlotte (nascida princesa belga e mãe do actual Grã-Duque Henri).

Esta é basicamente a informação "histórica" acerca destas peças.

This set in art-deco style consists of aquamarines and diamonds. It comprises one bandeau tiara (originally derived from a bracelet), a pair of earrings and a necklace with rectangular aquamarines. 

The set was made, as far I know for the Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte (born a Belgian princess and mother of the current Grand Duke Henri). 

This is pretty much all the "historical" information I could find about these parts.

Joséphine tinha ao seu dispôr outras tiaras e esta discreta bandeau pareceu ser a peça perfeita para a sua filha, a Princesa Astrid usar durante a sua juventude. Astrid usou esta tiara como a sua mãe, ou seja ao estilo anos 20, a meu ver da forma como a tiara deve ser usada.

Joséphine had to her disposal other tiaras and this discrete bandeau seemed to be the perfect piece for her daughter, Princess Astrid to use during her youth. Astrid wore this tiara as her mother, ie on the 20's style. In my opinion the righ way the tiara should be used.

Outra das filhas de Joséphine, a Princesa Margaretha, actual Princesa do Liechtenstein, também usou recentemente esta peça juntamente com os brincos, embora de maneira bem distinta, no jantar pré-casamento do sobrinho Guillaume em Outubro de 2012.

Another daughter of Joséphine, Princess Margaretha, current Princess of Liechtenstein, also wore more recently this bandeau with the earrings, on a very different way from her mother and older sister,  in the pre-wedding dinner of her nephew Guillaume in October 2012.

A actual Grã-Duquesa Maria Teresa usou este conjunto em variadas ocasiões, também de forma diferente da sogra.

The current Grand Duchess Maria Teresa used this set on various occasions, also differently from her mother -in law.

E usando apenas a bandeau e os brincos. A fotografia à direita foi do recente Jantar de Estado durante a visita desta semana à Polónia.

And wearing only the bandeau and the aquamarine pendent earrings. The picture on the righ was taken on the State Dinner during this week visit to Poland.

Nota-se uma tendência de MT para usar este conjunto com tons de azuis.

Apesar do estilo simplista e quase infantil deste bandeau, trata-se de uma peça que dada a estatura pequena de Maria-Teresa do Luxemburgo lhe assenta muito bem, apesar de nenhum penteado usado pela Grã-Duquesa em conjunto com esta tiara a ter favorecido muito.

Despite the simplistic and almost childish style of this bandeau, it is a piece that given the small stature of Maria Teresa of Luxembourg fits her very well, although none hairstyle worn by Grand Duchess in conjunction with this tiara had  favored her very much.
