Bebé para o Mónaco / Royal baby for Monaco

Quanto eu pensava que já me tinha despedido de vocês esta semana, valores mais altos se levantaram!

Foi anunciado hoje pelo Palácio do Principado do Mónaco que o Príncipe Albert II e a Princesa Charlene esperam o seu primeiro filho no final do ano.

It was announced today by the Palace of Monaco that Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene are expecting their first child later in the year.

No comunicado oficial pode ler-se:

In the official statement reads: 

"O Príncipe Albert II e a Princesa Charlène do Monaco estão imensamente felizes por anunciar que esperam um herdeiro para breve. O nascimento está previsto para o final do ano".

"Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco are immensely happy to announce that they expect an heir soon. The  birth is planned for the end of the year."

Albert e Charlene casaram em 2011 e a chegada de um herdeiro há muito que é aguardada pelos monegascos (e não só!).

Muitos inclusive já acreditavam que Andrea Casiraghi, sobrinho mais velho de Albert, seria o natural sucessor e inclusive já estaria a ser preparado para tal.

Albert and Charlene married in 2011 and the arrival of an heir has long been awaited by the Monegasque people (and not only!). 

Many have even believed that Andrea Casiraghi, Albert's eldest nephew, would be the natural successor and even was being prepared for his future role.

O casamento do casal de soberanos do Mónaco desde o inicio que atraiu muitos dúvidas e rumores. A inexistência de um bebé em quase 3 anos de casamento reforçava esses rumores.

Hoje, no entanto, todos fomos apanhados de surpresa!

Desejo tudo de bom para Albert e Charlene e finalmente um dos meus desejos para 2014 vai concretizar-se! Para falar verdade os meus dois desejos envolvendo o Mónaco, já se realizara (mais ou menos!).

The sovereign of Monaco couple's marriage attracted  from the beginning many doubts and rumors. The absence of a royal baby heir in nearly 3 years of marriage reinforced these rumors. 

Today, however, we were all caught by surprise! 

I wish all good for Albert and Charlene, and finally one of my wishes for 2014 will come true! To be honest my two desires involving Monaco, has been accomplished (more or less!).
