Acabou na passada sexta-feira o tour real que levou os Duques de Cambridge e o pequeno G. à Oceânia.

Anteriormente falei dos looks da Duquesa na Nova Zelândia. Hoje, no meu regresso e com um aninho a mais, faço a análise final dos looks apresentados na Austrália.

Just ended on the last Friday the royal tour that took the Dukes of Cambridge and the little Prince G. to Oceania.

Previously I talked about the looks of the Duchess in New Zealand. Today, on my return and one year older, I'lldo a final analysis throught the looks presented in Australia.

Dia 10 / Day 10

Na chegada à Austrália a Duquesa surpreendeu com este look vibrante amarelo da estilista Roksanda Ilincic. Embora William tenha dito em tom de brincadeira que a esposa parecia uma banana, eu acho que Catherine estava uma bela banana. O corte do vestido é perfeito, e a cor e irreverência do modelo dá um ar bastante jovial e original à Duquesa. Kate completou o visual com acessórios nude (sim, os famosos LK Bennett Sledge pumps estão de volta aos actos oficiais!)

On the arrival at Australia the Duchess surprised with this vibrant yellow look from Roksanda Ilincic. Although William has said jokingly that his wife looked like a banana, I think Catherine was a beautiful banana. The cut of the dress is perfect, and the color and irreverence of the model gives a very youthful and unique fresh air to the Duchess. Kate completed the look with nude accessories (yes, the famous LK Bennett Sledge pumps were back to official acts!)

Dia 11/ Day 11

No dia seguinte os Duques visitaram as Blue Montains. A escolha da indumentária foi no mínimo desastrosa. Embora o vestido traçado Diane von Furstenberg fosse bonito e com padrão (yeah!), leve e jovial, os acessórios foram mal escolhidos. Aqueles sapatos já desapareciam de vista e uma clutch para um passeio pelas montanhas e um relógio Cartier, parecem-me um pouco de mais...Até para uma Duquesa.

On the next day the Dukes visited the Blue Mountains. The choice of dress was at least disastrous. The wrap dress from Diane von Furstenberg had a quite pretty pattern (yeah!) and  it was light and jovial, the fittings were poorly chosen. Those shoes must disappeared from our sight and a clutch for a ride through the mountains and a Cartier watch, seem too much for me...Even for a Duchess.

Dia 12 / Day 12

A duquesa mostrou mais uma vez que é fã do bordado inglês com esta romântica criação da marca australiana Zimmermann. A visita incluiu um passeio pela praia e teria sido um prazer ver a Duquesa descer daqueles sandálias e jogar descalça na areia. Gostei do vestido, mas penso que a Duquesa fica demasiado juvenil com looks deste género.

The Duchess once again showed she is a fan of broderie anglaise with this romantic creation of the Australian brand Zimmermann. The visit included a walk along the beach and I would love to see the Duchess down those sandals and playing barefoot in the sand. I liked the dress, but I think the Duchess is too looks a child with this kind of dresses.

Dia 13 / Day 13

Para muitos o grande look deste tour. Este vestido branco com papoilas azuis é da colecção Primavera-Verão LK Bennett. Gosto imenso da forma e padrão do vestido. Mas acho que gostaria muito mais se as papoilas estivessem na sua cor real. Achei a combinação de acessórios (sapatos e clutch) um pouco infeliz também.

For many the great look of this tour. This white dress with blue poppies is from  LK Bennett Spring-Summer collection. I really like the shape and pattern of the dress. But I think it would be much more better with red poppies. I thought the combination of accessories (shoes and clutch) a little unhappy too.

Dia 14 / Day 14

O look mais formal do Tour aconteceu para o Serviço religioso das celebrações da Páscoa. A Duquesa optou por um vestido e casaco Alexander McQueen em tons cinza claro que combinou com acessórios nos mesmos tons. Muito aborrecido na minha opinião. Elegante, mas aborrecido.

The more formal look of the tour happened to the religious service of Easter celebrations. The Duchess opted for an Alexander McQueen dress and coat in light gray tones combined with accessories in the same tones. Very bored in my opinion. Elegant but dull.

Ainda no Domingo de Páscoa houve tempo para uma visita ao Zoo de Toranga, onde a Duquesa optou por um vestido amarelo claro, visto anteriormente no Tour 2012 no sudeste asiático. O vestido em bordado inglês foi feito especialmente para si por um designer independente. Gosto do vestido, embora o cabelo solto (um simples rabo de cavalo teria feito muita diferença) torne o visual demasiado juvenil. Chamada de atenção para os novos amuletos que a Duquesa usou como pendentes. São da Colecção Woodland da Asprey. A bolota tem especial significado para a duquesa já que no seu brasão de armas, criado para a sua família por ocasião do seu casamento,  este fruta está representada.

Após uma rápida mudança de roupa, a pequena família e comitiva viajaram para Canberra. A Duquesa voltou a usar um simples vestido azul Stella McCarteney.

Still on Easter Sunday  time for a visit to the Toranga Zoo where the Duchess opted for a pale yellow dress, previously seen in the 2012 Tour in Southeast Asia. The dress in broderie anglaise was made especially for her by an independent designer. I like the dress, although the loose hair (a simple ponytail would have made quite a ​difference) makes the look almost childish. Called attention to the newest charms the Duchess wore as pendants. They are from the Woodland Collection of Asprey. The acorn has special meaning for the duchess since in the coat of arms created for her family on the occasion of their marriage, this fruit is represented. 

After a quick change of clothes, the small family and staff traveled to Canberra. The Duchess returned to wear a simple blue dress Stella McCartney.

Dia 16 / Day 16

Mais um dia com dois looks. Na chegada a Ayer's Rock a Duquesa voltou a apostar na criadora Roksanda Ilincic. Um vestido malva muito semelhante a um modelo que a Duquesa usou pela primeira vez nos Estados Unidos em 2011. Mais tarde Kate escolheu o vestido Wessex da Hobbs, anteriormente já visto.  Gosto da cor do primeiro, mas o look por si não me cativa. Já o segundo vestido acho que resulta muito bem. A Duquesa foi presenteada neste dia com uma pulseira e colar feitos à mão. Mas uma vez, e especialmente no primeiro look, o cabelo solto não resultou.

Another day with two looks. On arrival at Ayer's Rock the Duchess chose again a Roksanda Ilincic creation. A mauve dress very similar to a model that the Duchess first used in the United States in 2011. Later Kate chose the Wessex Hobbs dress, previously seen. I like the color of the first, but the whole look didn´t catche my eye. The second dress I think it works very well. The Duchess was presented on this day with a bracelet and necklace handmade. But once again, especially in the first look, her hair didn´t make it work.

Dia 17 / Day 17

A Duquesa fica muito doce em rosa. Este conjunto McQueen não foi excepção. A maneira como Kate usou o cabelo foi muito inteligente e a Duquesa estava adorável. O conjunto de duas peças é bastante simples com um toque peplum. Pérolas e acessórios nude completaram um look que não sendo nada de especial foi bem conseguido.

The Duchess is very sweet in pink. This McQueen combo was no exception. The way Kate used the hair was very intelligent and the Duchess looked lovely. The two-piece set is fairly simple with a peplum touch. Pearls and nude accessories completed a look that was not special  but it was yet successful.

Dia 18 / Day 18

Neste tour, Catherine usou dois casacos verdes. Peças adoráveis, mas que foram dos piores looks do tour, na minha opinião. Este casaco de autoria de Catherine Walker (uma estilista muito vista nesta visita) foi uma mistura de duas criações da estilista. Na minha opinião o casaco original verde é lindo de morrer, e poderia ter resultado na perfeição para a duquesa com uma blusa/top por baixo. Neste caso, o casaco completamente fechado e com aquele cabelo solto, foi mais uma vez uma desilusão que em nada favoreceu a Duquesa.

In this tour, Catherine wore two green coats. Lovely pieces, but they were the worst looks of the tour, in my opinion. This coat by Catherine Walker (a regular designer on this tour) was a mixture of two creations of the designer. In my opinion the original green coat is drop-dead gorgeous, and it could have resulted in perfection for the duchess with a blouse / top underneath. In this case, the fully zipper coat with that loose hair coat was again a disappointment that did anything for the Duchess.

Para uma recepção em casa do Governador Geral da Australia, a duquesa escolheu um vestido branco de coktail de Lela Rose. O ponto positivo: o fantástico penteado. Os pontos negativos: o vestido em si, que fazia lembrar um napron (mas eu não percebo nada de moda) e os acessórios pretos que tornaram este visual mais pesado do que seria suposto.

For a evening reception in the home of the Governor General of Australia, the Duchess chose a white coktail dress by Lela Rose. The plus point: the fantastic hairstyle. The negatives: the dress itself, which reminded one napron (but I do not know anything about fashion) and the black accessories made ​​this look heavier than would be supposed.

Dia 19 / Day 19

Para uma cerimónia que teve lugar de madrugada em memória da Primeira Guerra Mundial, a duquesa cuja presença não estava confirmada nesta vigília, escolheu um vestido-casaco Temperley London já visto anteriormente. A completar um cachecol bege e sapatos pretos. Apesar das poucas imagens, só a cor preta me parece apropriada aqui.

For a ceremony that took place at dawn in memory of World War I, the duchess whose presence was not expected in this vigil, chose a dress-coat from Temperley London already seen before. Completing a beige scarf and black shoes. Despite the few images, only the black color seems appropriate here.

Mais tarde e para finalizar a viagem à Austrália, a Duquesa deslumbrou a meu ver neste vestido-casaco Micheal Kors. A completar acessórios azuis escuros, e um broche em forma de papoila (presente da esposa do Governador-Geral) e muito apropriado ao último local de visita do tour - um memorial para as vítimas da primeira Grande Guerra.

Later and to complete the journey to Australia, the Duchess dazzled in my opinion, on this dress-coat  by Micheal Kors. To complete dark blue accessories, and a poppy brooch (a gift from the wife of the Governor-General) and very appropriate to the last visit place of the tour - a memorial to the victims of the First World War

Assim foi o Tour 2014 dos Cambridges ( e o mundo pode finalmente ir dormir!)

And the Cambridges Royal Tour 2014 is over (and the world can finnaly go to sleep).

Conclusões / In conclusion:

A Duquesa apostou nas cores sólidas em detrimento dos padrões. Grande versatilidade de cores, com bainhas das saias e casacos substancialmente mais baixas. Aposta em criadores locais e britânicos.

Pouca e fraca versatilidade de estilos e acessórios. Neste campo esperava muito mais de Kate. Mesmo em relação a jóias emblemáticas, apenas vimos o broche das Mulheres de Auckland na Nova Zelândia. 

Os estilos casuais da duquesa foram um completo desastre e a fraca imaginação (ou vontade) da futura Rainha de Inglaterra em relação a penteados é gritante! A maquilhagem foi por vezes pouco favorável também.

A Duquesa tem ainda um longo caminho a percorrer, porque de modo geral não houve nenhum visual completamente deslumbrante!

The Duchess bet in solid colors instead of patterns. Great versatility of colors, with hems of skirts and coats substantially lower. Emphasis on local and British labels. 

Little and weak versatility of styles and accessories. On this field I expected much more from Kate. Even in relation to emblematic jewelry, we just saw the Women of Auckland fern brooch in New Zealand. 

Regarding casual styles, the Duchess were a complete disaster and the weak imagination (or will) of the future Queen of England in relation to hairstyles is glaring! The makeup was also sometimes unfavorable. 

The Duchess has a long way to go, because in general there has been no completely stunning look!
