A Jovem Victoria / The Young Victoria

O filme de 2009 começa em 1837, em que Victoria, então com 17 anos está no centro do poder real. Herdeira do trono, afastada da corte (governada pelo seu tio Rei William IV) pela controladora mãe, a Duquesa de Kent e pelo seu conselheiro Sr. Conroy, Victoria sonha com o dia em que finalmente será dona do seu destino. Enquanto isso conhece o seu primo, o elegante Príncipe Albert de Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha.

The 2009 movie begins in 1837, as Princess Victoria, then 17 is at the center of royal power fight. Heir to the throne, away from the court (ruled by her uncle King William IV) by her controlling mother, the Duchess of Kent and her advisor Mr. Conroy, Victoria dreams of the day when she will finally be master of her own destiny. Meanwhile she met her cousin, the elegant Prince Albert of Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha.

Vencedor do Óscar da Academia para Melhor Guarda-roupa em 2010, este filme prima pela mestria das interpretações e por nos dar a conhecer uma Rainha Victoria jovem, mas que desde cedo mostra o seu lado temperamental, tanto a nível de governo como a nível  pessoal, com o desabrochar do seu romance com Albert, naquele que seria uma das mais bonitas histórias de amor da realeza europeia. Numa época de mudanças, Albert revela ser um bom companheiro para uma soberana inicialmente muito influenciável pelo carismático Primeiro-Ministro Lord Melbourne, cuja influência sobre a Rainha quase leva a uma crise constitucional.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Wardrobe in 2010, this film strives for mastery of the interpretations and give us to know a young Queen Victoria, who since early shows her moody side, both within government and personal level with the blossoming of their romance with Albert, that would be one of the most beautiful love stories of European royalty. In a time of change, Albert turns out to be a good companion for an initially very influenced young sovereign. The Prime Minister Lord Melbourne , whose influence on the Queen almost leads to a constitutional crisis is also very present in this drama.

O filme é belo, simples de entender, romanceado q.b.,mas muito, muito bom a meu ver!

Recordo com certo carinho uma cena, depois da noite de núpcias entre Albert e Victoria em que o príncipe revela o seu desejo de ter uma grande família, ao que Victoria responde: "Não muitos. E não muito cedo".

The film is beautiful, simple to understand, qb romanticized, but very, very good in my opinion! 

I recall with fondness the scene right after the wedding night between Albert and Victoria when Prince reveals his desire to have a great family when Victoria responds: "Not too surrounded, please and not too soon."

O que não deixa de ser irónico pois o casal teve 9 filhos que casaram com vários membros de famílias reais europeias, fazendo com que quase toda as casas reais europeias da actualidade sejam descendentes de Albert e Victoria.

Mas na realidade Victoria detestava estar grávida, pois isso impedia-a de desfrutar da sua paixão por Albert na sua plenitude.

What it's quite ironic because the couple had nine children who married along several members of European royal families, causing almost all European royal houses of today are descendants of Albert and Victoria. 

But in reality Victoria hated being pregnant because it prevented her from enjoying her passion for Albert entirely.

Na realidade uma das descendentes da Rainha Victoria fez uma participação neste filme. A Princesa Beatrice de York, neta da Rainha Elizabeth II aparece na cena da coroação como dama-de-honor.

In fact one of the descendants of Queen Victoria actually made ​​an appearance in this film. Princess Beatrice of York, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the coronation scene as maid of honor.

O curioso é que são várias as semelhanças entre Beatrice e a jovem Rainha Victoria.
