Alguns momentos especiais / Some special moments to remember

Escolhi dois momentos especiais da semana passada e do fim-de-semana que vale a pena registar aqui.

I chosen two special moments from last week that are worth to mention here.

Entre tantas visitas introdutórias que os novos reis da Holanda e da Bélgica fizeram desde que subiram ao trono, havia uma que eu estava ansiosa para que acontecesse: a visita entre eles.

Foi na passada sexta-feira que o Rei Philippe e a Rainha Mathilde da Bélgica chegaram à Holanda para uma curta de visita de um dia. Foram recebidos pelo Rei Willem-Alexander e pela Rainha Maxima. 

Amigos, aliados e praticamente familiares foi com enome satisfação que os mais recentes monarcas europeus se encontraram. O casal holandês juntamente com a Princesa Beatrix ofereceram um almoço em honra dos soberanos belgas. Depois disso, Philippe e Mathilde reuniram com vários representantes do Governo holandês.

Among the many introductory visits the new kings and queens of the Netherlands and Belgium have done since they rose to the throne, there was one that I was eager for it to happen: the visit among them.

It was on the last Friday that King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium came to the Netherlands for a short onde day visit. They were received by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.

Friends, allies and almost family it was with great satisfaction that the most recent European monarchs met. The Dutch couple along with Princess Beatrix offered a lunch in honor of the Belgian sovereigns. After that, Philippe and Mathilde met with several representatives of the Dutch government.

Maxima e Mathilde, também conhecidas como irmãs Natan pelo particular gosto por esta casa de moda, não desiludiram. Fico sempre a pensar se como grandes amigas que são, elas falam entre si para combinar roupas. Eu gosto de acreditar que sim. Ambas escolheram cores fortes que combinaram maravilhosamente lado a lado. 

Maxima and Mathilde, aka Natan sisters since their particular liking for this fashion house, didn´t disappoint us. I am always wondering if , as great friends they are, they talk between them to match their outfits in every public affair.. I like to think so. Both chose strong colors that matched beautifully tiled.

A rainha da Holanda escolheu um bonito vestido azul-escuro de Jan Tamininau, com uma vistoso laço no decote, que apenas Maxima poderia usar. Completou o look com um chapéu pill-box, luvas com sapatos e mala em nude e um brilhante par de brincos de safiras.

The Queen of the Netherlands chose a beautiful dark blue dress by Jan Tamininau with a dressy lace at the neckline. Only Maxima to wear such. She completed the look with a dark pill-box hat, gloves and nude shoes and handbag bag. She also wore a  bright pair of earrings with sapphires.

Já Mathilde permaneceu fiel ao designer Natan com um vestido fuscia com chapéu a condizer, sapatos pretos e clutch marron. Usou ainda uns bonitos brincos de pérolas e brilhantes.

For her hand  Mathilde remained loyal to designer Natan with a fuscia dress with matching hat, black shoes and brown clutch. Still she wore a beautiful pair of pearl and diamonds earrings.

Willem-Alexander e Maxima seguiram no mesmo dia para a Rússia para uma visita de dois dias da qual eu falarei durante esta semana.

Willem-Alexander and Maxima followed on the same day to Russia for a two-day visit  (I will speak about that later this week).

Outro grande acontecimento anual teve lugar no passado domingo no Reino Unido. No dia 10 de Novembro é tempo para todos os membros da família real honrarem aqueles que morreram em combate no habitual Domingo da Lembrança no Cenotaph Memorial. Um pouco por toda a Europa têm lugar celebrações semelhantes, mas é no Reino Unido e nos seus territórios que este dia é mais fortemente lembrado. Novembro é o mês de recordar e honrar todas as vidas perdidas primeiramente no decorrer da I Grande Guerra, e mais tarde foi este dia foi usado como marco para relembrar todos aqueles que perderam a vida em combate. As hostilidades da primeira grande guerra cessaram oficialmente no dia 11-11-11 às 11h da manhã, mas durante todo o mês decorrem homenagens e serviços religiosos. 

Em Londres a Rainha, o Duque de Edimburgo, os Duques de Cambridge, o Príncipe Harry de Gales, a Princesa Real e o Almirante Timothy Laurence e o Conde e a Condessa de Wessex, foram alguns dos membros da família real que compareceram à solene cerimónia.
Another major annual event took place on Sunday in the UK . On the 10th of November it's time for all members of the royal family honor those who died in combat in the usual Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph Memorial . Slightly throughout Europe similar celebrations take place , but it is in the UK and its territories that this day is more strongly remembered . November is the month to remember and honor all the lives lost during the World War I , and later that day was used as a landmark to remember all those who lost their lives in combat . The hostilities of World War I ceased officially on 11-11-11 at 11 am , but throughout this month several honors and religious services take place.
In London the Queen , the Duke of Edinburgh , the Dukes of Cambridge , Prince Harry of Wales , the Princess Royal and Admiral Timothy Laurence and the Earl and Countess of Wessex , were some of the members of the royal family attended to the solemn ceremony .

Ausentes num tour pela India, o Príncipe de Gales e a Duquesa da Cornualha também não deixaram de prestar a sua homenagem com um serviço religioso na Igreja Evangelista de St. John em Mumbai e mais tarde com uma visitar ao Cemitério Kirkee na Commonwealth que contem cerca de 1668 sepulturas da segunda grande guerra.
Absent on a India tour, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall also payed an homage to those who fell in battle with a religious service in the evangelist Church of St. John in Mumbai and later with a visit to the Commonwealth Kirkee Cemetery,  containing approximately 1668 burials of the Worl War II.

Ontem, o duque de Edimburgo, de 92 anos deslocou-se ainda à Bélgica, para juntamente com o Príncipe Laurent da Bélgica participar na Cerimónia  Last Post que honra os milhares de soldados que morreram durante a primeira guerra Mundial
Yesterday, the Duke of Edinburgh, 92, went to Belgium, for along with Prince Laurent of Belgium attend the Last Post Ceremony honoring the thousands of soldiers who died during the World War I.

A papoila vermelha tornou-se o símbolo desta lembrança, pelas vidas perdidas nos Campos de Papoilas na região da Flandres, celebrizada no poema "In Flanders Field".O poema foi escrito em 1915, no segundo ano do conflito pelo médico de campo Tenente-Coronel John McCraea, após o funeral do seu amigo o Soldado Aexis Helmer, morto em combate:
The red poppy has become the symbol of remembrance, for the lives lost on the Poppies Fields in the Flanders region, made ​​famous in the poem "In Flanders Field." This poem was written in 1915, the second year of the conflict by the camp doctor Lieutenant Colonel John McCraea after the funeral of his friend Soldier Aexis Helmer, killed in action:

"In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Eu também tenho uma papoila que fiz questão de usar durante o mês de Novembro. Adoro este tipo de tradições e de pequenos gestos, que de modo consciente e com significado, nos engrandecem o espírito  porque também nós nascidos longe destes palcos de guerra, também não devemos esquecer...
I also have a poppy and i´m wearing it during the month of November. I love this kind of traditions and small gestures that consciously and meaningful, make our spirit  hight, because even us, born far from these war conflicts, shouldn´t forget!
