E aproveito esta oportunidade para falar do último compromisso oficial da Rainha jordana. Rania visitou ontem os escritórios da Semana do Design de Amman. Esta iniciativa foi lançada em 2016 com o apoio da Rainha. O objectivo da Semana do Design de Amman é mostrar o trabalho e talento de designers locais, regionais e até internacionais e através disso transformar Amman numa incubadora regional para inovação, expressão e criatividade. Este ano o evento decorre entre 4-12 de Outubro, sobre o tema "Possibilidades".
And I take this opportunity to talk about the last official appointment of the Jordanian Queen. Rania visited the offices of Amman Design Week yesterday. This initiative was launched in 2016 with the support of the Queen. The aim of Amman Design Week is to showcase the work and talent of local, regional and even international designers and thereby transform Amman into a regional incubator for innovation, expression and creativity. This year the event takes place between 4-12 October, on the theme "Possibilities".

Rania Al Yassin nasceu a 31 de Agosto de 1970 (quase a completar 49 anos) na Cisjordânia no seio de uma família palestiana que se mudou para o Kuwait à procura de melhores condições de vida. Tirou um Bacharelato em Adminstração de Negócios pela Universidade Americana do Cairo em 1991 e começou a trabalhar num banco na Jordânia. De seguida, Rania trabalhou na empresa Apple Computer.
